The great victory for Muslims was the conquest of Makkah, the largest stronghold of the Kufaar at the time which was in Ramadhan in the eighth year of Hijrah, after Quraish broke the Treaty of Hudaybiah with the Muslims, where she helped the tribe of Bakr in its war against the Khuza’a tribe. Quraish then […]
Willingness to sacrifice is the outcome of absolute conviction that Allah (swt) and His Messenger ﷺ alone are deserving to be more beloved to the person than the whole Dunya and everything that is in it. It is this conviction that allows a believer to sacrifice all of his worldly interests and ties for the […]
Work in a dawah carrier’s life is intense and continuous. The dawn of realisation is not the destination, but actually it is the beginning of a long and often rough journey, though for the slaves of Allah every hardship is a milestone on the road to success. Ramadan is the perfect time to revive the […]
Arabic is the language of the Quran, it is the language of the best law (Shariah) revealed by Ar-Rahman. It is the language of the Deen that spread its glad-tidings over the east and west of earth. The language that translated the metaphor of the Quran and its eloquence and fluency, revealing its miracle that […]
Allah (swt) provided victory to the Muslim armies were because they placed their trust on Him; including the Battle of Badr, which took place in the month of Ramadhan. It has been narrated on the authority of ‘Umar b. al-Khattab who said: When it was the day on which the Battle of Badr was fought, […]
Force and fear are ineffective in silencing the voices of the Muslims because Islam establishes the conviction that life and sustenance and wealth are in the hands of Allah (swt) and that the loss of either is in the exclusive control of Allah (swt), Al-Hai, Ar-Razaaq. RasulAllah ﷺ said, أَلَا لَا يَمْنَعَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ رَهْبَةُ النَّاسِ […]
The Ummah today is numbed by grief at the wounds inflicted upon its body. Muslims are clearly unshielded, despite collectively possessing the world’s largest armed forces, whose combined troops numbers reach millions. Indeed, it is high time that the cries of the Ummah are heeded by the heroes from within the armed forces. The awaited […]
In the year 13 AH, the month of Ramadan witnessed the Battle of Buwaib, led by the feat commander Al-Muthanna bin Al-Haritha, in which the number of Muslims in this battle were 8000 only, while the Persians numbered 100,000; nevertheless, it was a great victory for the Muslims. Indeed, in this lies an exhortation and […]
Allah (swt) said, قُلْ إِن كَانَ ءَابَاؤُكُمْ وَأَبْنَآؤُكُمْ وَإِخْوَنُكُمْ وَأَزْوَجُكُمْ وَعَشِيرَتُكُمْ وَأَمْوَلٌ اقْتَرَفْتُمُوهَا وَتِجَـرَةٌ تَخْشَوْنَ كَسَادَهَا وَمَسَـكِنُ تَرْضَوْنَهَآ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْكُمْ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَجِهَادٍ فِي سَبِيلِهِ فَتَرَبَّصُواْ حَتَّى يَأْتِىَ اللَّهُ بِأَمْرِهِ وَاللَّهُ لاَ يَهْدِى الْقَوْمَ الْفَـسِقِينَ “Say: If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your spouses, your kindred, the wealth that you have gained, the […]
Bravery is one of the noblest characteristics for the Muslim to acquire.
The desire for wealth of a Muslim must never supersede the striving in good deeds at any time, let alone at a time when his good deeds can turn the tide for his beloved Ummah. Allah (swt) said, الْمَالُ وَالْبَنُونَ زِينَةُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَالْبَاقِيَاتُ الصَّالِحَاتُ خَيْرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًا وَخَيْرٌ أَمَلًا “Wealth and children are […]
On 5th May petrol prices were increased to over 100r by IMF favourite Dr Abdul Hafeez , causing inflation in transport and food thus burdening people even more in Ramadan. Operation Badr was the code name for the Egyptian military operation to cross the Suez Canal and seize the heavily fortified Bar-Lev Line of the Jewish occupation on October 6, 1973. The Muslim is compelled to care for the Islamic Ummah for he is bonded to it by the strongest bond of all, the bond of Imaan. The Muslim’s bond with the Ummah is stronger than the bonds of family and is likened to a single brotherhood, for Allah (swt) said, إِنَّمَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ إِخۡوَةٌ۬ “The believers […]
Question: Assalam Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuh, Our Sheikh, I would like to know the rule of Allah on this matter so that my heart becomes at ease. I was in Jahiliyyah and I stopped fasting Ramadan deliberately without excuse. Then, Alhamdulilah, Allah sent His mercy on me so that I repent to Him. How […]
The Muslims of Gaza welcomed Ramadan under a barrage of missiles and airstrikes by the murderous ‘Zionist’ entity. A month that should be a time of celebration, is yet again a time of grief and mourning for families in this besieged land. In a 3-day period, which included the beginning of Ramadan, the brutal Jewish […]
Taqwa is the standard for high rank and so there is no favoritism for the privileged, as is commonly seen in the Muslim World in the absence of the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of the Prophethood. When it was requested that a woman who committed theft be pardoned because she was from a noble […]
Let our generation firmly believe in the promise of Allah (swt) to cause the Muslims that believe and undertake righteous deeds to become successors on earth, becoming the leaders and rulers of humankind, granting them security after a situation of fear. Allah (swt) said,
Fasting was likened by RasulAllah ﷺ to a shield protecting each of us individually from the Fire of Jahannam. RasulAllah ﷺ said, الصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ مِنَ النَّارِ كَجُنَّةِ أَحَدِكُمْ مِنَ الْقِتَالِ “Fasting is a shield against the Fire just like the shield of anyone of you against fighting.” [Ibn Maajah]. So, this Ramadhan, we establish the […]
It is very unfortunate instead of the Muslims to commence their holy month of Ramadhan in peace and blessings like the month itself; it is just the beginning of hostility amongst Muslims precipitated by the issue of Sighting the Moon.
We in the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah of Tunisia wish to congratulate the Islamic Ummah in general and the people of Tunisia Zaytouna, media outlets and the honourable media Personnel in particular, on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan. The bounteous gift of Allah (swt) that He sent down during the Blessed Ramadan, the Noble Qur’an, is full of verses obliging a great duty, which has great reward. It is the duty of enjoining the good and forbidding the evil.
The Quraysh had always represented a material obstacle barring the Message of Islam. A task force thus had to be prepared to overcome it. Bearing this in mind, and with the objective of spreading Islam outside Madinah, the RasulAllah ﷺ began building his army. He ﷺ took several steps by dispatching some expeditions designed to […]
We ask Allah (swt) that he accepts the fasting and qiyyam of the Muslims and that Allah (swt) forgives us for what we have committed of sin, as the Prophet ﷺ said in what al-Bukhari and Muslim reported that Abu Hurayra (ra) narrated, «مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ، إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا، غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ» “RasulAllah […]

Allah (swt) said, شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ هُدًى لِلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِنَ الْهُدَى وَالْفُرْقَانِ “The month of Ramadan is the one in which the Qur’ān was revealed as Guidance for mankind, and as clear signs that show the right way and the Furqan.” [Surah Al-Baqarah 2:185]
Question: Dear brother: Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh, With reference to your letter of 24/6/2018 regarding sighting the crescent moon (Hilal) of Ramadan of this year, I would like to refer to the following:
PM Scott Morrison issued a statement to the Muslim community ‘commemorating’ the arrival of the month of Ramadhan. Unsurprisingly, he has taken the opportunity to continue the tradition of his predecessors by framing any engagement with Muslims through the lens of securitisation.
RasulAllah ﷺ said, «صوموا لرؤيته وأفطروا لرؤيته، فإن غُبِّيَ عليكم فأكملوا عدّة شعبان ثلاثين» “Fast upon the sighted crescent moon sighting and break the fast upon its sighting” (al-Bukhari). RasulAllah ﷺ commanded Muslims collectively, altogether, to begin the obliged Fasting of Ramadhan, upon the sighting of the crescent moon.
