Affidavits submitted by the ruling candidates in the run-up to the upcoming parliamentary elections are just a small proof of ultra-profitable political business. People are well aware of the true horrifying picture of this political business (!) and they have witnessed how the rulers and some of the capitalists around them have built mountains of wealth, smuggled money abroad, and looted people’s deposits from the banks. Analyzing the affidavit data of the last three terms, the news media reported that the wealth of some of the ruling MPs has increased from 1200 times to 8000 times! (BBC Bangla), and the most profitable business is ‘politics’ (DW). It has also been reported that 61 percent of the parliamentarians are businessmen and 5 percent are politicians (TIB’s Parliament Watch Report), and businessmen are competing in the upcoming 12th parliamentary elections (Dainik Janakantha). The main reason for this is that the Awami-BNP ruling classes are the agents of Britain-America, who follow the secular-capitalist ideology. Imitating that they separated Islam from politics and accepted material happiness as the criterion of success in life. Since there is no place for spirituality in this politics like the fear of Jahannam or the desire for Jannat, this system is a factory for producing corrupt and selfish politicians. As a result, people have been witnessing for decades that the Awami-BNP rulers have been protecting their own interests, the interests of some capitalists, and the interests of Kuffar-colonialists including US-Britain-India, and exploiting the majority of the population, even usurping the rights of the poor and orphans. Regarding the characteristics of these people, Allah (swt) says:
[إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَأْكُلُونَ أَمْوَالَ الْيَتَامَى ظُلْمًا إِنَّمَا يَأْكُلُونَ فِي بُطُونِهِمْ نَارًا وَسَيَصْلَوْنَ سَعِيرًا]
“Indeed, those who devour the property of orphans unjustly are only consuming into their bellies fire. And they will be burned in a Blaze [i.e. hellfire]” [Surah An-Nisa: 10].
O People! Politics in Islam is a noble duty to look after the people, and it is the Sunnah of the Prophets.
عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «كَانَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ تَسُوسُهُمْ الْأَنْبِيَاءُ كُلَّمَا هَلَكَ نَبِيٌّ خَلَفَهُ نَبِيٌّ وَإِنَّهُ لَا نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي وَسَيَكُونُ خُلَفَاءُ فَيَكْثُرُونَ» قَالُوا: فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا؟ قَالَ: «فُوا بِبَيْعَةِ الْأَوَّلِ فَالْأَوَّلِ أَعْطُوهُمْ حَقَّهُمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ سَائِلُهُمْ عَمَّا اسْتَرْعَاهُمْ»
“Bani Israel was ruled by the Prophets, when one Prophet died another Prophet came in his place, but there is no Prophet after me. Soon many Caliphs will come.” They (ra.) (Companions of the Prophet (saw)) asked: then what do you order us to do? He (saw) said: “you will fulfill (their) pledge one by one, and fulfill their rights.” (Bukhari, Muslim).
We see the reflection of this hadith successively in Caliph Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali (ra), and other Caliphs. When the Umayyad caliph Umar bin Abdul Aziz, also known as Umar the second, took over the responsibility as caliph, he ordered the confiscation of all lands and other movable properties, which were previously allocated to the Umayyad clan as citizens of the Khilafah state, and deposited those in the state treasury. And he began its implementation by depositing all of his assets, such as: land, horses, camels and other livestock, personal perfumes, etc., in the Baitul Mal (state treasury), the then market value of which was 32,000 dinars or 753 kg of gold coins. He then arranged for the wealth of his wife (who was the daughter of the previous caliph) and the rest of the Umayyad clan to be deposited in the Baitul Mal. Fearing that there might be a slight abuse of power in the distribution of these assets, he returned all the assets allocated for the Umayyad descendant citizens, which they received as allocations from the state like other citizens. This is not even an incident of Khulafah Rashidin, but an example of an Umayyad Caliph of a later era! In the Khilafah system, the politicians do not engage in politics to fulfill their own greed, rather they appear in the service of the Muslim Ummah and Islam with all their lives and property.
O People! The democratic circus or so-called ‘free and fair’ elections only change the faces of the corrupt rulers, but does not change your fate. Because, the factory of producing tyranny and tyrants i.e. this godless secular-capitalist system continues through this process. In addition, removing this system and establishing the Khilafah is not just an urgency, rather a Shariah obligation upon every Muslim; Rasulullah (saw) said,
«مَنْ مَاتَ وَلَيْسَ فِي عُنُقِهِ بَيْعَةٌ مَاتَ مَيْتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً»
“Whoever dies without bay’at (Oath of Allegiance) on his neck (to a Khalifah), then his death is the death of the Jahiliah” (Muslim).
So you have to work unitedly with the truthful party Hizb ut Tahrir to reestablish the Khilafah system. Your sons, relatives and known officers in the military should be reminded not to legitimize this tyrannical government by playing the role of earnest guardian in the election arena, but to take initiative to remove them and give Nusrah (material power) to Hizb ut Tahrir to establish the Khilafah. Allah (swt) says:
[فَمَنِ اتَّبَعَ هُدَايَ فَلَا يَضِلُّ وَلَا يَشْقَى]
“Then when guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray ‘in this life’ nor suffer ‘in the next’. But whoever turns away from My reminder, he will certainly have a miserable life, then We will raise them up blind on the Day of Judgment.” [Surah Taha: 123-124].
