The fruit of the poisonous plant of democracy is apparent. No matter how much water, sunshine and fertilizer is made available to this plant, it will only bear poisonous fruit, both now and in the future. The ‘corruption-free’ democracy project collapsed under its own weight in just three and a half years. It was under this ‘corruption-free’ democracy that taxation was raised to unbearable levels, only to be thrown into the hands of the IMF and the usurious banking elite. The treacherous abandoning of Occupied Kashmir, which began under Musharraf and then continued under Nawaz Sharif and Zardari, was completed under Imran Khan. Under Imran Khan’s rule, like the previous governments, the interests of the colonialists were prioritized over looking after the affairs of the Ummah. Pakistan’s interest rates have skyrocketed, interest payments soared to consume over half of the collected tax, inflation reached record levels, millions fell below the poverty line, millions lost means of earning and the economy stalled.
Democracy converts struggling economies, the world over, into ATMs for the colonialist usurious banking elite. Elite capture is inevitable in democracy because parliamentarians have the power to make laws to secure the interests of the colonialists, leading to losses of trillions of rupees from the economy. Deals between parliamentarians for power sharing are the first steps in the slaughter of the interests of the people for years. Clearly, the problem of Democracy is not that of a single individual. Through granting law making to parliamentarians, Democracy is poisonous to its core. The privatization of the health sector to secure mammoth profits for private hospitals and insurance companies was passed by this parliament. The handing over of the home mortgage sector to usurious banks was also secured under this parliament. Three amnesty schemes for crooks and thieves were secured under this parliament, with no relief whatsoever provided for the common man. The powerful sugar, flour, fertilizer and vehicle lobbies all benefitted through laws provided to them by the parliamentarians, crushing the people under a tsunami of soaring prices. So what was the difference between the previous democracies and this ‘corruption-free’ democracy?
The Muslims of Pakistan must not fall into any delusion or false hope. The next government after the overthrow of Imran Khan’s government will also be the poisonous fruit of democracy, which is the root of our problems in the Muslim World. Instead of real change, the same old parties and leaderships will form the new parliament and cabinet. Democracy will provide more of the same formula that has failed the Muslims of Pakistan for decades.
Change can only come through the change of the ruling system, through the abolition of democracy and the re-establishment of Khilafah in its place. In the Khilafah, the Khaleefah can neither be removed by the majority of elected representatives nor by the mere passage of five years. The Khaleefah is contracted for life as long as he abides to the strict implementation of Islam, thereby freeing the Khaleefah from political blackmail. The Khaleefah will transform the Khilafah into a modern, developed, industrialized state through revolutionary long-term policies, just as the Khilafah did throughout Muslim history. Since the Khilafah does not permit laws other than Shariah law, no one can make laws according to the interests of the colonialists and the elite. The Khilafah forbids the embassies of hostile colonialist powers on Muslim soil, let alone military and political collaboration and coordination. The Khilafah will immediately mobilize military forces for the liberation of Occupied Kashmir and Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa. The Khilafah will eliminate the petrodollar hegemony by issuing currency based on gold and silver, simultaneously stabilizing prices and eradicating inflation.
A believer is not to be bitten from the same hole twice. So, O sincere officers of Pakistan’s armed force, uproot this poisonous system and restore the system that is based on divine Revelation, sent down by Allah (swt), the All-Knowing. It is time for you to stand with the Islamic Ummah and its project, by granting your Nussrah to Hizb ut Tahrir for the re-establishment of the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood. Allah (swt) said,
[أَلَا يَعۡلَمُ مَنۡ خَلَقَ وَهُوَ ٱللَّطِيفُ ٱلۡخَبِيرُ]
“How could He not know His Own creation? For He alone is the Most Subtle, All-Aware.” [TMQ Surah Al-Mulk 67:14].
