Students from schools in Al-Abyad city came out yesterday protesting against the deterioration of living conditions, especially the lack of bread and transportation. The forces of the ruling regime faced them with a barrage of live bullets, killing five and injuring dozens of them by the confession of the governor in charge. Following which, demonstrations erupted in the capital Khartoum and other cities of Sudan denouncing what happened in Al-Abyad and demanding a just retribution.
Since the fall of the former Inqadh regime, the military took over and the dispute over power began between them and the forces of freedom and change for nearly four months. Since then the economic and service situation is deteriorating, although when people came out against the former regime they did that seeking justice and decent life, but they only found injustice, murder, violence and hardship, under the increase of prices exponentially and the lack of fuel and its deficiency in some states. In addition to the lack of bread and high tariffs for transportation in all cities of Sudan, and its absence most of the time, especially in the capital Khartoum. All this happens while both sides of the conflict, the military and the forces of freedom and change, are in unbroken negotiations, inside and outside Sudan, both seek to grab a larger piece of the cake of power. And when the youth come out resentful, the live bullets will claim their lives, there in al-Abyad and elsewhere, and tear gas and beating with batons will be their fate here in Khartoum. Whereas the forces of freedom and change and some political forces trade with the blood and wounds of those, and even uses them to put pressure on the junta, for hasty gains.
We in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan warn the military junta against the consequences of spilling the blood of defenseless innocent people, Allah (swt) has sternly forbidden the killing of a believing soul. وَمَن يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِناً مُّتَعَمِّداً فَجَزَآؤُهُ جَهَنَّمُ خَالِداً فِيهَا وَغَضِبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَعَنَهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُ عَذَاباً عَظِيماً “But whoever kills a believer intentionally – his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him and has cursed him and has prepared for him a great punishment” ]An-Nisa: 93[.
We also warn the forces of freedom and change and other political forces against trading in the blood of young people for cheap gain, and a void civil system, without basis of Sharia, the system in Islam is neither military nor civilian; but is Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood, as the beloved Prophet ﷺ said: «كَانَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ تَسُوسُهُمْ الْأَنْبِيَاءُ كُلَّمَا هَلَكَ نَبِيٌّ خَلَفَهُ نَبِيٌّ وَإِنَّهُ لَا نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي وَسَتَكُونُ خُلَفَاءُ تَكْثُرُ» قَالُوا: فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا؟ قَالَ: فُوا بِبَيْعَةِ الْأَوَّلِ فَالْأَوَّلِ وَأَعْطُوهُمْ حَقَّهُمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ سَائِلُهُمْ عَمَّا اسْتَرْعَاهُمْ» “Bani Israel were ruled by their Prophets. When one died, there would follow another. There will be no Prophet after me, only Khulafaa’.’ They asked Rasulallah, ‘What should we do?’ He said ‘Give them bay’ah, one after the other, and give them their rights, because Allah will ask them about responsibility.” (Narrated by Muslim).
It is the only legitimate system that Islam has entrusted us with, and it is the only one that glorifies the sanctity of blood, avenges criminal murderers, and all those who violate the sanctities of Muslims, and brings justice and decent life for the people. The Almighty says: فَمَنِ اتَّبَعَ هُدَايَ فَلا يَضِلُّ وَلا يَشْقَى * وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَن ذِكْرِي فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنكاً “Then whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray [in the world] nor suffer [in the Hereafter]. * And whoever turns away from My remembrance – indeed, he will have a depressed life.” [Ta-Ha: 123-124].
