During the month of Rabiul Awwal, a lot of festivity and merriment are being witnessed among many Muslims, as commemoration of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. These incidents serve as sufficient proof that indicates the Ummah is still embodied with glowing sentiments of sanctifying their rituals. In relation to the commemoration of the birth of the Prophet ﷺ, the Islamic political party Hizb ut Tahrir East Africa would like to comment as follows:
The issue of loving the Prophet ﷺ should not be an emotional issue only; nevertheless it is imperative that it should be treated as part and parcel of the Islamic faith recommendation to Muslims to love him more than anything else in the world. It is reported from the authority of Anas (ra) that the Prophet ﷺ said:
«لَا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى أَكُونَ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ مَالِهِ وَأَهْلِهِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ»
“None of you shall be a true believer until I become more beloved to him than his family, his wealth and the whole mankind.”
The Muslims are obliged to defend and safeguard the honour of the Prophet ﷺ than anybody else. Allah سبحانه وتعالى says,
لِّتُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّـهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَتُعَزِّرُوهُ وَتُوَقِّرُوهُ وَتُسَبِّحُوهُ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا
“In order that you may believe in Allah and His Messenger and assist and honour him and glorify praises morning and afternoon”
(48:9)
However, it is of great sorrow to find this honour being denigrated and degraded by the Kuffar who habour hatred against his message and detest him. Today the western and their twaghut governments, brazenly offer asylum and give protection to all goons who insult ﷺ under the guise of “freedom of opinion and expression”.
In this month of the birth of the Prophet ﷺ, it is important that Muslims remember and also acknowledge the enormous virtue he ﷺ brought which is non but Islam. Its primary objective being to liberate the entire humanity from the darkness of ignorance to the light of Islam. This ought to further remind Muslims the quidity and essence of Islam, that it is not a spiritual religion only, as it is being deceitfully and even forcefully portrayed by the west. It is of paramount significance to comprehend that Islam is a complete way of life with its unique political/ruling system, economic system and even social system that was revealed with the sole objective of prevailing over all other man made ideologies, despite the fact he disbelievers may loath it.
هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَىٰ وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ
“He it is Who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to make it victorious over all other religions even though the disbelievers may hate it”
(61:9)
Finally, we would like to remind each and every Muslim the importance of emulating the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as the sole political icon to have ever appeared in the whole world, who successfully established the first Islamic State in Madinah Munawwara and successfully ruled with Islam. The State made Muslims the most powerful nation and guaranteed peace and security in the implementation of their religion which is pleased by Allah سبحانه وتعالى. We are also obliged to emulate the politics of the Prophet ﷺ which he followed to restore the Islamic way of life, through reestablishment of the Islamic State Khilafah (Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood which will obliterate and remove all sorts of oppression and denigration launched by the west against the Muslims.
