Pakistan’s Regime Eager to Serve its New Masters under Trump’s Presidency

On 14th December 2016 Tariq Fatemi, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs has said that Pakistan has paid a heavy price for US success in the region. “Better relations between Pakistan and US are a must for sorting out problems in the region. Pakistan has paid a whopping price for US success in the region,” he said this in an interview with the Washington Times. He further remarked “We will work together with Trump administration. Donald Trump business background and his interest in economic relations bear resemblance with Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif vision.”

Comment:

Upon the victory of the Republican Donald Trump in the US presidential elections, Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, was quick to congratulate, with the official PML-N Twitter account proclaiming, “Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif congratulates President-elect of the United States of America Mr Donald J Trump on his historic victory in the 2016 US Presidential Elections” [pic.twitter.com/JsKTCqxx2a]. This quick response was not a surprise as the current rulers of Muslims want to show their loyalty as soon as possible to their new incoming masters, whether in Washington or London. Yet, the current regime in Islamabad this time has sunk to a new low in showing its slavery and loyalty. The regime sent the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs, Tariq Fatemi, to the US on Monday 5 December 2016 on a 10-day official visit, with the aim of meeting with the US President-elect Donald Trump. However, Trump and his team did not bother to meet him. It is because of this slap in the face that Mr. Fatemi reminded the upcoming administration that Pakistan has paid heavy price for US success in the region. Though not even this desperate call grabbed the attention of Trump and his team and Fatemi returned empty handed!

Two things are very clear from the regime’s statements and actions with respect to America. Firstly, the regime does not want to change its loyalties from America to any other major power, which they pretend to do by undertaking military exercises with Russia or by promoting CPEC (China Pakistan Economic Corridor) project, under the banner of “realignment.” It continues to settle deep in the lap of Washington and awaits its green light for an initiative with other powers. Secondly, Tariq Fatemi statement has exposed the lie that the “War on Terror” is our war. Since the beginning of the US war, it is clear that it is a war against Islam and Muslims. The decision to side in what Bush himself called a “crusade” was certainly not putting “Pakistan First” as Musharraf claimed. And even after Musharraf’s departure every regime till today has been following the same policy, to serve America no matter what Pakistan suffers as a consequence.

The current system guarantees a treacherous leadership as this system is not from Islam rather the from man-made system of capitalism. This system produces leaders who work to protect the interests of their masters sitting in the West. Pakistan paying a heavy price for American success will continue as long as there is no Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood. Islam forbids Muslims to be in alliance with those who kill Muslims and force them to leave and occupy their lands. Rather Islam orders the Muslims to fight them as they fight us. Indeed, only a righteous Khaleefah will protects the interests of Islam and Muslims only as he is only guided by Islam.

“It is only as regards those who fought against you on account of religion, and have driven you out of your homes, and helped to drive you out, that Allah forbids you to befriend them. And whosoever will befriend them, then such are the Zalimun.
