In Support of Rawat-Modi Regime’s State Terrorism in Occupied Kashmir, Bajwa-Imran Regime Suppresses Islamic Groups in Pakistan

On the directives of the federal government, the Sindh, Punjab, and Balochistan governments on 6 March 2019 sealed or took over administrative control of several establishments run by the proscribed Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) and Falah-i-Insaniat Foundation (FIF), a day after the two organisations were listed as proscribed by the interior ministry. In its list of proscribed organizations (https://nacta.gov.pk/proscribed-organizations/) the government’s National Counter Terrorism Authority includes groups that have loyally supported the resistance in Kashmir to Indian state terrorism for decades. The list also includes “Hizb-ul-Tahreer” (Hizb ut Tahrir) which is working since 1953 for the re-establishment of the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of the Prophethood, the shield of the Ummah from all of its enemies.

Thus, the Bajwa-Imran regime has submitted to the Rawat-Modi regime’s demands to curb resistance to its state terrorism in Occupied Kashmir. Thus, the Bajwa-Imran regime has begun to fulfil the vision of the Indian army chief for Pakistan, that he spelled out on 30 November 2018, when he said, “See this staying together, staying separate, ispe Pakistan ko apni andruni halat dekhni hogi. Pakistan ne apne state ko Islamic state bana diya hai. Hum log secular state hai (Pakistan has to look at its internal situation. They are an Islamic state, we (India) are a secular state).” And it is the surrender to India on its demand to suppress Islam which is part of the US plan for Pakistan to make way for India to become the undeserving dominant regional hegemon.  This humiliating submission is why Pakistan’s Foreign Minister gushed enthusiastically on 6 March 2019, “There appears to be a de-escalation in tensions [with India] which is a positive development… I would especially like to thank US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. By utilising private diplomacy, the US has played a very positive role.”

It is upon the Muslims to abandon rulers that have abandoned the Muslims of Occupied Kashmir for the sake of enemies of the Ummah. It is upon them to work for their removal with the advocates of the Khilafah, replacing them with a Khaleefah Rashid, ruling by Islam, dignifying us in Dunyah and raising our status in Aakhira. Indeed, the guaranteed source of strength for the Muslims is the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of the Prophethood. It alone will mobilize all our abundant resources for the service of Islam and Muslims. It alone will work to unify all the current states of Muslims into the single most resourceful state in the world. Allah (swt) said, الَّذِينَ يَتَّخِذُونَ الْكَافِرِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِن دُونِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَيَبْتَغُونَ عِندَهُمُ الْعِزَّةَ فَإِنَّ الْعِزَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًا “Those who take disbelievers for allies instead of believers, do they seek power with them? Verily, then to Allah belongs all power.” [Surah an-Nisa’a 4:139].

It’s Time to Arm the Kashmiri Resistance and Mobilize Our Armed Forces to Liberate Occupied Kashmir

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, on 4 March 2019 cautioned the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) officers that they should keep their “guard up” as the challenges facing the nation “are not over yet”. The air chief made the remarks during a visit to the forward operating bases (FOB), adding that, “We bow our heads in complete humility and express our gratitude to the Almighty for giving us strength to come up to the expectations of our resilient nation,” referring to last week’s superb repulsion of an Indian attack, shooting down two Indian aircraft.

The morale in the air force is indeed at a high, driven by Iman in Allah (swt) and desire to meet Him (swt) as martyrs or those who strove for martyrdom. Thus, we see that Muslims of Pakistan in general and the armed forces in particular want to take this war forward to the liberation of Occupied Kashmir, as Allah (swt) said, وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْ هَٰذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ الظَّالِمِ أَهْلُهَا وَاجْعَلْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ وَلِيًّا وَاجْعَلْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ نَصِيرًا “And what is [the matter] with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah and [for] the oppressed among men, women, and children who say, “Our Lord, take us out of this city of oppressive people and appoint for us from Yourself an ally and appoint for us from Yourself a supporter?” [Surah An-Nisa: 4:75].

However, the spineless regime is completely out of step with the mood of the people and their armed forces. It is begging for peace with the enemy, making concessions that are met with hostility and phone-calls that are unreturned. It is restricting our armed forces to limited retaliation even though they are capable of far more. Allah (swt) said, فَلاَ تَهِنُوا وَتَدْعُوا إِلَى السَّلْمِ وَأَنْتُمْ الأَعْلَوْنَ وَاللَّهُ مَعَكُمْ وَلَنْ يَتِرَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ “Be not weary and faint-hearted, crying for peace, when you are the uppermost: for Allah is with you, and will never put you in loss for your (good) deeds.” [Surah Muhammad 47:35] And Allah (swt) said, وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْ هَٰذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ الظَّالِمِ أَهْلُهَا وَاجْعَلْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ وَلِيًّا وَاجْعَلْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ نَصِيرًا “And what is [the matter] with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah and [for] the oppressed among men, women, and children who say, “Our Lord, take us out of this city of oppressive people and appoint for us from Yourself an ally and appoint for us from Yourself a supporter?” [Surah An-Nisa: 4:75]. It is now for the lions of Pakistan’s armed forces to grant Nussrah immediately for the re-establishment of the Khilafah on the Method of Prophethood, so that they are unleashed in decisive battle for the liberation of Occupied Kashmir.

Capitalism Will Never Grant Relief to the Poor, Islam Alone Will.

Prime Minister Imran Khan on 4 March 2019 said that after overcoming the “most difficult challenge” of stabilising the economy during the first six months of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI)-led government, the focus is now on the promotion of economic growth in the country. The premier said that with trade and investment being an important pillar of the government’s foreign policy, there was a positive sentiment among the international community towards Pakistan’s economy, which needed to be capitalised.

Since the start of 1990’s every regime in Pakistan focused on economic growth in the country. In order to achieve this objective, they implemented every capitalist dictate of the IMF, World Bank which include liberalization of trade, tax reforms, incentives for foreign direct investment and privatization. So in the last almost thirty years there were some periods when Pakistan achieved significant economic growth and there were some periods when economic growth was minimal. It peaked at 9 percent GDP growth in 2005 and it was lowest in 2009 with less than 1 percent GDP growth. Last year in 2018 Pakistan’s GDP growth was 5.8 percent. However, during this thirty-year period Pakistan’s internal and external debt kept on rising. Its economy predominantly remained an import oriented economy unable, to produce substantial commodities for its local needs. Pakistan is the world sixth largest country by population and is full of natural resources like oil, gas, coal, copper, gold, iron, salt, limestone and uranium. Pakistan ranks eighth worldwide in agricultural output. Yet, despite all these magnificent resources and increases in economic growth, Pakistan’s masses are drowning in poverty.

Addressing production alone will never alleviate poverty. This prescription is a capitalist prescription for a capitalist economic system which depends on the trickle-down effect for distribution, which has yet to be seen anywhere in the world. In reality, in every country, wealth is becoming increasingly concentrated in the hands of the few. The prescription that is needed is the comprehensive implementation of Islam’s economic system, as implemented in the first state of Madinah RasulAllah ﷺ. The Islamic economic system uniquely provides laws that guarantee the distribution of wealth, such as Zakah, public ownership of energy and minerals as well as tying agricultural ownership with production. Allah (swt) said, كَيْ لَا يَكُونَ دُولَةً بَيْنَ الْأَغْنِيَاءِ مِنكُمْ “that it may not (merely) make a circuit between the wealthy among you.” [Al-Hashr 59:7].
