Political and Military Leadership of Pakistan Neglects the Muslims of Occupied Kashmir
OIC’s sessions and rhetorical addresses by the heads of states of Muslim countries to it are mere crocodile tears. The sessions of the OIC are held to cool down the blazing emotions of the Muslims, so as to advance American colonialist plans. America and the Western kafir colonialist are not fools such that they do not understand the legitimate political and militant struggle of the Muslims. Rather they have introduced the so called “War on Terror” to crush the Muslims’ genuine struggle. The rulers over Muslims should have uncovered the real motives behind the so-called “War on Terror” imposed by the American and Western kafir colonialist powers, which is that it is a war on Islam and Muslims. However, instead of doing this, the rulers over Muslims first participated in this war to safe guard American interests. They are now giving lessons to us that we should separate legitimate political struggle from “terrorism,” so we start running after another deception. For America and her allies, the fighting by the Muslims of Palestine, Kashmir, Afghanistan or anywhere else is “terrorism.” So should Muslims abandon their militant struggle and lay down their arms in front of their Kafir oppressors and occupiers, just because the kuffar see their militant struggle as “terrorism”?
The Muslims took up arms when their rulers did not allow Muslim armies to move in order to protect and liberate oppressed Muslims. What has tied the hands of the political and military leadership of Pakistan, such that it does not move to help the Muslims of Occupied Kashmir? Today every child of occupied Kashmir wants liberation from Hindu slavery and unification with Pakistan. Under this situation the order to move Pakistan armed forces will be enough to secure the liberation of Occupied Kashmir. However, the current political and military leadership will never take this brave step because their ruling is not based on the revelation of Allah (swt), rather it is according to the commands of America. Only the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of the Prophethood will take this brave step because its ruling will be based on the revelation of Allah (swt). Allah (swt) said, فَمَنِ اعۡتَدٰى عَلَيۡكُمۡ فَاعۡتَدُوۡا عَلَيۡهِ بِمِثۡلِ مَا اعۡتَدٰى عَلَيۡكُمۡ “Thus, if someone has attacked you, attack him just as he attacked you” [Surah al-Baqarah 2:194]. Therefore only by replacing the OIC and the current leadership of Muslim countries with the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood, will the interests of Muslims be secured.
Democracy and Capitalism only Protects the Interests of the Elite
On 31st May 2019, the government announced a market support fund, comprising of 20 billion Rupees, so that the collapsing stock market can be supported. This market support fund is also being flaunted as a broker support fund, because it will benefit the brokers in the stock market. The support fund has been announced at a time when the economy of Pakistan is in a very bad shape. The currency has lost its value, the government has already announced that it will levy greater levels of taxes to finance its expenditures and the price of electricity and gas have already been increased. However, despite this critical economic situation, the government provided support to billionaire stock market brokers with the tax payers’ money of the people, instead of providing relief to the common man. The PTI regime, which came into power on the rhetoric of change, has also failed to resolve the problems faced by people, just as their predecessors failed to do so. The reason behind this continuous failure is democracy, which implements the capitalist economic system. The capitalist economic system focusses on production rather than distribution. So Capitalism examines markets of the overall situation of production, such as the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and the rise and fall in the stock market index. So in order to save stock market from further devastation government approves such type of support fund, which temporarily stabilizes stock market and economic statistics but it does not bring relief for the common man’s life, even though Allah (swt) said, كَىۡ لَا يَكُوۡنَ دُوۡلَةًۢ بَيۡنَ الۡاَغۡنِيَآءِ مِنۡكُمۡ “so that it (wealth) will not be a perpetual distribution among the rich from among you.” [Surah AlHashr 59:7].
In contrast to democracy and capitalism, the Khilafah system does not give the power of legislation to any person. Thus, the Khaleefah must spend wealth on the people according to the commands of Allah (swt). The Khaleefah is bound to spend the money of Zakah on eight categories mentioned by Allah (swt). Similarly funds from public property is also placed separately in the state treasury to secure the needs of the public in a collective sense. Islam does not focus on production alone, taking care to ensure distribution. It ensures that the basic needs of every individual should be fulfilled and that the individual must have opportunities to acquire luxuries as well. Therefore it is imperative to uproot the current system and re-establish the Khilafah, which will steer this Ummah from darkness and economic misery to the light of the Deen of Allah (swt) and economic prosperity.
Regime Instigating Division through Moon Sighting Issue
For the first time in the history of Pakistan two Eids have been officially celebrated. The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) announced that Eid will be celebrated on 4th June, whilst the federal government announced that Eid will be celebrated on 5th June. On the one hand, the regime talks about ending division based on ethnicity or region and accuses the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) of instigating these divisions. However, on the other hand the regime is using the issue of moon sighting to deepen these divisions. From here a question arises. If the PTM instigates the people of the tribal areas to stand against the federal government and this helps the agenda of foreign enemies of Pakistan, then whose agenda is being followed when on the issue of moon sighting, KPK is brought in opposition to the federal government? The reality is that the root cause of divisions among the Muslims of Pakistan is the oppression and inefficiency of the system implemented in Pakistan.
On another front, the Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Fawad Chaudry, is trying to undermine the commands of Islam by establishing a calculated lunar calendar. Fawad Chaudry thinks that astronomy should be used to ascertain the beginning of the lunar month/ For this reason he thinks that today the commands of Islam must be changed, whilst Islam stresses the sighting of the new crescent moon by the human eye. These people are unable to understand that Islam is a universal Deen which is for all people, all places and for all times. The laws of Islam are easy to understand and implement. Anyone can witness the new crescent moon, whereas not everyone has command of astronomical calculations. Moreover, Islam does not demand that a person must be able to understand astronomical calculations to perform his worship. RasulAllah ﷺ fourteen hundred years ago instructed the Muslim Ummah to make things simple in the matter of the new crescent moon sighting. RasulAllah ﷺ said, «اِنَّا أمة اُمیة لا نکتب و لا نحسب الشھر ھکذا وھکذا یعنی مرة تسعة و عشرین و مرة ثلاثین» “We are illiterate people, neither we write nor we estimate. Month is either like this or this, meaning it is either of 29 days or 30 days” (Bukhari). We know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his Companions (RA) were the most enlightened of people. It is not as if the Arabs did not know how to write or estimate in different matters. Then why did the Messenger of Allah saaw say that we don’t calculate or estimate? Actually this is a style of eloquence. By using these words, RasulAllah ﷺ was laying emphasis that the matter of sighting the new crescent moon should be simple and it should not be made complicated.
Today division arises in Pakistan not because of the new crescent moon sighting issue in itself. Islam’s commands are very simple. However, the rulers go against them because in their sight the worship of Muslims and the commands of Islam are not worth enough to take care of. The issue of the new crescent moon sighting can only be resolved when this matter is not restricted to nationalist boundaries It will be resolved on the basis of Shara, which declares that if any Muslim witnesses the new crescent moon anywhere in the world, it should be considered the new crescent moon for the whole Muslim Ummah, including the Muslims of Pakistan.
