Rupee under Speculative Attack Because Currency is not Based on Gold and Silver
The Dawn reported on 16 November 2015, “The rupee came under intense pressure from the dollar, particularly in the open market, last week. The greenback briefly touched the Rs107-mark before a central bank intervention checked the dollar’s rise in the market… Some market analysts attributed the volatility to a sudden increase in demand for the dollar after an IMF official was quoted as saying that the rupee is overvalued by 5-20pc… Meanwhile, some other critics said the rupee’s drop was merely a continuation of the latest round of depreciation that has been supposedly allowed to boost the country’s dwindling exports. However, the central bank issued a statement mid-week and blamed the rupee’s fall on speculative activity fuelled by ‘media reports’.”
The devaluation of the Rupee is the cause of the huge generalized inflation in Pakistan. It is consistently weakening, meaning that over time each Rupee buys less. Food, clothing, utility bills, rent, medical fees and education expenses are breaking the backs of the people. Moreover, because the Rupee is a fiat currency, with no intrinsic real value, it is also prone to speculative runs, which steepen its continuing decline.
Return to the gold and silver standard as backing for currency, as Islam has mandated, is eminently practical. The lands of the Muslims in which the Khilafah state is likely to arise contains a lot of gold and silver resources, such as the Sandaik and Reko Diq fields in Pakistan. The Ummah possesses great resources that are direly needed by other countries, such as oil, gas, coal, minerals and agricultural commodities, which can be used to exchange for more gold and silver. The State Treasury in Muslim Lands have international currency as Forex holdings, such as the Dollar, the Euro and the Sterling which can be used for exchange as well. The Muslim Lands are self-sufficient in basic commodities, so the real economy is stable and resistant to manipulations and speculation, once the parasite economy is abolished.
America is Grateful for Raheel’s Timely Treachery
The US Department of Defence said on 16 November they were grateful that the Pakistan army chief was visiting the United States for consultations on bilateral issues. “We are grateful that COAS Raheel (Sharif) is taking time to hold consultations in person. The Secretary, the Deputy Secretary and the Chairman welcome the COAS and look forward to productive discussions related to our bilateral defence relationship,” a US defence official told Dawn.
There is no doubt that America is grateful to Raheel Sharif for he is no less steeped in treachery than Musharraf and Kayani. Using the blood of the innocents of the Army Public School, as well as the great respect for our armed forces, as a veil for his treason, Raheel Sharif is toiling day and night to preserve the American interests regarding India, Afghanistan and Syria. That he is doing so at a time that America is stretched well beyond what its collapsing economy and cowardly besieged armed forces can manage to support in terms of America’s blind and ruthless ambition only adds to the severity of his crimes.
With regards to India, Raheel is keeping our armed forces chained to their barracks, whilst India increases its belligerency. This is part of the American plan to remove Pakistan as a challenge to the rise of India as the dominant regional power, a position that it neither deserves nor could achieve for itself. Playing the game that its all Nawaz Sharif’s fault does not hold, because everyone knows that the power lies in the government. With regards to Afghanistan, Raheel is shedding the blood of our armed forces and the tribal fighters in rivers so that America can be saved from a humiliating complete and comprehensive withdrawal from Afghanistan. And with regards to the vicious crusader onslaught against the Muslims of Syria, using the shadowy and brutal ISIS as an excuse, Raheel Sharif is deaf to the pleas of the Muslims of ash-Shaam despite commanding the world’s sixth largest army. No amount of ISPR propaganda can hide these bare facts and such propaganda does not even serve Raheel Sharif as it insulates him in a bubble of self-praise as the anger at his weak stance before America becomes more and more obvious.
The time is now for Muslims to speak out against tyrannical rulers, thereby rejecting their evil. Rasool Allah ﷺ commanded and warned:
«والذي نفسي بيده لتأمرن بالمعروف ولتنهون عن المنكر، أو ليوشكن الله أن يبعث عليكم عقاباً من عنده، ثم لتدعنه فلا يستجاب لكم»
“By Him in Whose hand is my soul, you must order all that is right and forbid all that is evil, otherwise Allah will be about to send His punishment upon you. And then if you pray to Him, He would not answer you.”
Nawaz Sharif Shakes the Bloodied Hands of the Tyrant Karimov of Uzbekistan
Pakistan and Uzbekistan agreed on 17 November 2015 to strengthen their ties by enhancing trade and improving connectivity in the region. Addressing a joint press conference after the signing of agreements, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Uzbek President Islam Karimov expressed satisfaction over the ties and stressed the need for harnessing the full potential of bilateral cooperation in different spheres. Pakistan and Uzbekistan signed three documents to strengthen cooperation in areas of economy, trade and foreign affairs. A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Trade Development Authority and the Uzbek Ministry of Economic Affairs and Investment to enhance bilateral trade. Tariq Fatemi and Uzbek Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade Ganiey Elyor Majidovich signed the document.
As usual Nawaz Sharif made his foreign trip as a scouting exhibition for business opportunities for himself and his pack of cronies. This is even though Karimov is a tyrant of the highest degree who is mounting a war against Islam within Uzbekistan, the rich fertile ground for Ulema and Mujahideen in Islamic history. The many crimes of the Karimov’s regime include: shooting at the resident civilians of Andijan who gathered for the sake of Islam, the physical elimination of dissidents and intellectual opposition, preventing wearing the Khimar (head scarf) and growing of beards, covering of men’s heads, preventing state employees from praying, preventing young people from entering mosques, and preventing collective Iftars during Ramadan, as well as the crimes practiced by the Uzbek regime in prisons and detention centers, including the members of Hizb ut Tahrir whose numbers of members in prison exceeds six thousand, many of them are detained since 1999, which is more than 16 years, and even though their extended time of their sentences is finished, the state in Uzbekistan extends their detention illegally for a second, third and fourth time. This is not exclusive to men, Muslim women face the same fate in Karimov’s prisons.
The coming Khilafah will not turn a blind eye to the tyrants, wherever it is established first. It will work to unify the Muslim Lands and seize the tyrants for accounting before the judiciary of the Khilafah. Today, the tyrants can see that their time is up and in blind rage are striking at the sincere Muslims. However, they will fail as Allah سبحانه وتعالى will ensure that His Deen will prevail. Allah سبحانه وتعالى said,
يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يُطْفِئُوا نُورَ اللَّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَيَأْبَى اللَّهُ إِلَّا أَنْ يُتِمَّ نُورَهُ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ
“They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah refuses except to perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it”
(At-Tawba: 32)
Like Musharraf and Kayani before him, for Raheel Regional Security is for American Hegemony
“Needs and measures for regional security dominated” the one-hour meeting between US Secretary of State John Kerry and Army Chief Gen Raheel Sharif, the army’s press office said on 18 November. Within this broader concept of “regional security”, Secretary Kerry and Gen Sharif also tackled specific issues such as the situation in Afghanistan and Pakistan’s relations with India, Mr Bajwa said. During this and previous visits, Pakistani leaders have urged the US administration to help improve India-Pakistan relations if they want permanent peace in the region. They also want the Americans to prevent India from using the Afghan territory for stirring troubles in Pakistan and to protect Pakistan’s interests in the region as well. In previous statements, Pakistani leaders have also underlined the steps India has taken under its so-called cold-start doctrine and warned that these measures would further escalate nuclear proliferation in the region.
Regional security is America’s euphemism for American hegemony within the region. American legislators, officials and thinkers are clear on the shape of the region, which is BJP-led India in a dominant role, with Pakistan making way and sliding into subservience. Like Musharraf and Kayani before him, Raheel is playing a double game with the Muslims. Feigning resistance, he is proceeding along the American plan. Regarding Afghanistan, using false flag operations such as the Peshawar Army Public School attack, America and its agent Raheel is exploiting the strength, professionalism and bravery of the Pakistan Army to secure the American presence in the region. As a significant asides, it is this American presence that ensures India has an unprecedented footprint within Afghanistan, which serves as a launchpad to stir up trouble in the tribal areas, Baluchistan and beyond. Regarding India, under the guise of improving relations and normalization, America and agent Raheel are seeking to assist India in its rise, undermining the entire potential of Pakistan, culturally, economically, politically and militarily. So Raheel, like Musharraf before him, will attempt to swamp Pakistan with Indian culture and Indian goods, whilst submitting Pakistan within regional organizations dominated by India as well as sacrificing its military capabilities on the border within India, for the sake of America’s war in Afghanistan.
It is no use cursing Musharraf and Kayani now that they have been abandoned by America in the dustbin of history. The time is now to seize the hands of the agents of America before Pakistan is weakened more than ever before.
