Af-Pak Ethnic Tensions Fulfill Colonialist Divide and Rule Tactics

On 10 August 2016, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan told the National Assembly that the children of Afghan refugees in Pakistan cannot be issued Pakistani citizenship documents even if their mothers were Afghani citizens. Pakistan`s government since the last couple of years have adopted a policy whereby have tried shifting the blame of vicious cycle of violence on either on Muslims of Tribal belt or Muslim Refugees of Afghan origin instead of the real orchestrator i.e US who through Raymond Davis N/w & alikes have brought havoc in Pakistan. On 20 June 2016, Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said these refugee camps have become “safe havens for terrorists” and also said “5million refugees came here, along with drugs, guns bringing instability to Pakistan”.

As reported that under the pretext of Border Management, either side of the Muslims crossing-over are regularly harassed. Moreover, the Afghan refugees living in Pakistan since decades have now been asked to move to Afghanistan by the end of this year, otherwise strict action will be taken against them. The Afghan refugees are not only being asked to leave but leave in haste, whereby their business, properties, stake in Pakistan will not only be ruined, but sold at a meager price. These Pakistani rulers have done all this in a bid to incite ethnic tension amongst the Muslims of both countries, so that the Raheel-Nawaz regime will exploit tensions as a justification for its military operations and crack-down against the Muslims of the tribal belt. The US, through Raheel-Nawaz regime, attempts to divide the Muslims of both side, seeking to divert them from standing-up against its colonialist invasion in Afghanistan. Instead Washington wants the Muslims to fight against each other. Moreover, this division, also allows the rise of India as the dominant regional power which represent even more danger for all Muslims. The US’s Afghan puppet regime on the other side of the border has been asked to use these ethnic tensions to justify its embrace of India. Hence we see India not only shaping the security issues of Afghanistan, but it has increased its influence by investing through various projects such as the Chabahar port.

The US puppet regimes on both sides of the border will continue to divide the Muslims to secure the US objectives in this region. It is only through the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of the Prophethood that Muslims on both sides of the Durand Line will be unified again, whilst demolishing the US hegemony in this region and elsewhere. The Muslims cannot let these regimes divide them on nationalistic grounds instead must adhere to Islam which will bring about their rise as a single powerful Ummah.

“You who have iman! have taqwa of Allah with the taqwa due to Him and do not die except as Muslims.  Hold fast to the rope of Allah all together, and do not separate. Remember Allah’s blessing to you when you were enemies and He joined your hearts together so that you became brothers by His blessing. You were on the very brink of a pit of the Fire and He rescued you from it. In this way Allah makes His Signs clear to you, so that hopefully you will be guided.”

(Aal-imran, 3:102-103)

Pakistan Railways Record Losses are part of Colonialist Privatization Plan

As reported in the Express Tribune on 12 Aug 2016, Pakistan Railways’ (PR) losses surpassed a staggering Rs28 billion, increasing around 12.64% in fiscal year 2015-16. Since last couple of years Pakistan Railways has been recording huge losses. We have seen in the past that profitable public companies were turned into loss making companies in a bid to built-up a case for their privatization and some are being privatized even when they are profitable. Karachi Electric Supply Corp. (KESC), Pakistan Telecommunication (PTCL) Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) are just a few of such cases which either have been privatized or are in the pipeline of being privatized. Ruling and other political parties have crippled enterprises, unfairly interfering in matters of strategy, hiring without merit, over-burdening of staff with its political workers, making policies to halt the progress of the organization and adopting unnecessarily bureaucratic and ineffective government structures and styles. If this was not due to malicious policy, the how is it that after privatization, private management is able to dramatically turn-around these loss making firms within little time?

By turning state and public entities into private firms, the public is being exposed to the never-ending greed of a few private parties, such that the poor will be deprived of these basic needs and be over-burdened by taxation. It is the current capitalist system which mandates the wholesale privatization of the wealth-laden public and state properties, contributing to a great concentration of wealth in the hands of the few. Capitalism’s exploitation of wealth in this manner is to extent that the world’s wealthiest one per cent have actually increased their share of global wealth from 45pc in 2013 to 47pc last year, despite the global economic crisis, according to Boston Consulting Group’s annual report on global private wealth released on 7 June 2016.

Institutions like the IMF, World Bank and the Asian Development Bank are known colonialist tools used by the Western countries to subdue a country under its hegemony. These institutions provide loans with hefty interest rates, whilst placing strict conditions upon the government to privatize the major sources of revenue for the treasury. As reported in Express Tribune 20 May 2016, it was revealed that a deal has been negotiated for a $300m loan from ADB for Pakistan Railways. In the same report, it can be seen that ADB proposed actions for privatization of some public firms, stating that, “Power distribution companies, Pakistan Steel Mills and Pakistan International Airlines need substantial upfront reforms and investment as well as efficient management of stakeholder interests before privatisation can materialise.”

A modern state requires huge revenues to sustain its expenditure. In the Khilafah, revenues are generated from the Al-Fa’I, Al-Ghanaa’im, Al-Anfaal, Al-Kharaaj, Al-Jizyah, the ‘Ushoor, the Khumus (5th) of the Rikaaz (buried treasure) and the Zakaah properties, whilst not limited to these alone. Moreover Islam defines three types of ownership whereby the public properties, such as oil, gas and minerals, are not privatized which will be one of the key factors in avoiding the concentration of wealth in a few hands. The Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of the Prophethood will ensure the revival of Pakistan economically, by restoring the major sources of revenues from state and public properties, allowing a rapid industrialization of this region and forever breaking the begging bowl mentality which has wrecked Pakistan’s economy for so long.

Pakistani Gulf Workforce Highlights Failure of System

On 11 August 2016, Ministry of Foreign affairs Tasawar Khan said that 10,935 Pakistanis were moved to 20 camps of three companies that were facing financial problems in Saudi Arabia. Many of these stranded people had not received their salaries for months, have no food and were living in poor conditions. In relation to this nine-month old issue, Khizer Hayat Khan, Secretary Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, was asked about this mistreatment of Pakistani workforce in comparison to the better treatment of Chinese workforce and said, “Pakistan is not China and it is not possible for us to take legal action against Saudi Arabia.”

The above statement not only reflects the deteriorated political status of Pakistan across the globe due to its incompetent rulers, but also confirms the fact that these puppet rulers are not in the least concerned about those over whom they have charge. It is no secret to anyone with vision and insight that the brain and labour drain is due to the political corruption in Pakistan and its resulting economic corruption. Thus, Muslims migrate abroad in search of an opportunity to utilize their creative minds or the sweat of their brows for material gain. In this man-made system, these rulers feel no responsibility to develop the enriched Muslims lands through our skilful and hardworking workforce, so that the Ummah may benefit. Instead, the sole purpose of these rulers under Democracy is to plunder the wealth of Muslims for the benefit of their Western masters, and to fill their own pockets and bank accounts.

As for Saudi Arabia, it is known for one of its biggest expatriate’s workforces residing and working in their country, such that the expat workforce make-up almost one-third of its total population. However the Saudi rulers have adopted a discriminatory policy known as “Iqama” against these expats. Under this system, in most of the cases, an expat is required to get his Iqama tied-up from a local resident, whereby the vulnerable are exploited as wished. Many of these local employers not only hire laborwork force on cheap wages, mostly from Asian countries, but also do not provide them with even basic living conditions. Thus the Saudi monarch rulers have not only have left no stone unturned in plundering the immense oil wealth of the Ummah, but have also ensured division amongst Muslims through a racially discriminative policy.

In Islam any ethnic discrimination amongst Muslims is forbidden and it is only Khilafah (Caliphate) upon the Method of the Prophethood that will ensure its implementation, whereby Muslims of different lands will enjoy living together side-by-side. Allah سبحانه وتعالى said,

Indeed, the Believers are but one brotherhood.”

(al-Hujarat 49:10)

In the Khilafah skilled resources are utilised for the development and progress of the state, so the brain and labour drain is reversed. It is in the Khilafah that the Hiring (ijara) contract between employer and employee will ensure that not only the rights of the both are protected, but both are encouraged to establish a caring relation towards each other. Allah said سبحانه وتعالى

“Is it, then, they who allocate the mercy of your Lord? We have allocated their livelihood among them in the life of the dunya and raised some of them above others in rank so that some of them are subservient to others. But the mercy of your Lord is better than anything they amass.”

(Az-Zukhruf, 43:32)

Democracy is the Source of Corruption as it is a System of Kufr and Disbelief

The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) and allied parties are ramping up the pressure on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and are pursuing various means to have him disqualified from the National Assembly for allegedly concealing his assets in the wake of the Panama Papers leaks. PTI chairman Imran Khan, talking to reporters on 16 August 2016, announced his party’s plan to move the Supreme Court against the prime minister. He claimed there was enough evidence available in the form of registries of properties owned by the Sharif family in London, in addition to their own admissions. PTI ally and Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed approached Mr Sadiq to hand him his own reference against PM Sharif, seeking his unseating under Articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution. At the same time, the Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) has also declared to file a petition against the prime minister with the Supreme Court.

The opposition will never provide us liberation from corruption because of their adherence to Democracy. Democracy is based upon the sovereignty of its leadership, so that its leadership manipulates laws to look after its own interests and those of its Western colonialist masters. Thus, in Democracy, the rulers and the opposition sit together in parliament to make constitutional amendments, laws, rules and regulations according to their whims and desires, granting legal cover for their corruption. We can never have hope in Democracy, regardless of who comes to govern by it. Any such hope is like striking a hammer on our own feet, crippling us from any movement for real change. Democracy ensures that its leadership never feels responsibility to the people nor does it fear the accountability of Allah سبحانه وتعالى in the Hereafter. The basis of Democracy is the rejection of the Deen of Allah سبحانه وتعالى as a complete way of life. It commands what Allah سبحانه وتعالى and His Messenger ﷺ have forbidden and forbids that which they commanded. Democracy can only increase our problems and hardships, bringing us harm in this life and the Hereafter. Allah سبحانه وتعالى said,

Whosoever turns away from My Reminder, verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him blind on the Day of Resurrection.”

(Ta-Ha: 124)

There is only one solution to Democracy, which is its immediate abolition and replacement by the ruling system of Islam, the Khilafah. Throughout the era of ruling by Islam, Muslims lived in justice and security, from the time of the Messenger ﷺ in Madinah, through the period of the Khulafaa Rashideen and then throughout the eras of the succeeding Khilafah until the British colonialists abolished the Uthmani Khilafah in Turkey in 1924 with the help of some traitors within the Arab and Turks. The Khilafah state provided its citizens, Muslims and non-Muslims, with security and prosperity domestically and status and honor in the international arena.

It is upon us all to work to restore Islam as a way of life, for it is the only sincere and aware leadership that calls for the abolition of Democracy and the re-establishment of the Khilafah. Only then will we have a leadership that fears Allah سبحانه وتعالى alone, ruling by the Truth and caring for all the people, regardless of ethnicity, school of thought, religion, wealth or status. Allah سبحانه وتعالى said,

“We have sent down the Book to you with the truth so that you can judge between people according to what Allah has shown to you.”

(an-Nisa’a 4:105)

Only then will we see the end of the rule of force and tyranny and the return of the rule of Islam by a Khilafah State. Ahmed narrated that RasulAllah ﷺ said,

«ثُمَّ تَكُونُ مُلْكًا جَبْرِيَّةً فَتَكُونُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ تَكُونَ ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُهَا إِذَا شَاءَ أَنْ يَرْفَعَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُ خِلَافَةً عَلَى مِنْهَاجِ النُّبُوَّةِ ثُمَّ سَكَتَ»

Then there will be rule of force, and it will remain as long as Allah will it to remain. Then Allah will end it when He wills. Then there will be a Khilafah on the Way of the Prophethood.” Then he fell silent.
