Hizb ut Tahrir protests against the kidnapping of its youth by the Pakistani Government

Hizb ut Tahrir organized a protest demonstration in Gulshan e Iqbal Karachi against the arrest of its member Waqas Muslim. Waqas a final year Telecommunication student at the N.E.D University was arrested on Friday 23rd November after Jummah Prayers from Bilal Masjid Gulshan e Iqbal Block # 4. Khurrum Masood, a member of Hizb ut Tahrir, while addressing the demonstration strongly condemned the brutal tactics adopted by the government to suppress the rising call of Khilafah in Pakistan.

He reiterated that Hizb ut Tahir would not cow down to such cowardly acts by the government. He reminded the rulers of Pakistan that Hizb did not bow down in front of tyrants like Hosni Mubarik of Egypt and Islam Karimov of Uzbekistan despite the most brutal tactics adopted by these rulers to suppress the call of Islam and Khilafah. Waqas, after his arrest was taken to Mubayana Town police station and was shifted to an unidentified location after a few hours. Waqas is a patient of Dengue virus and had his final year exam a day after his arrest which he was forced to miss.
