We ask Allah سبحانه وتعالى that He inspires patience, fortitude and solace in the families and relatives of these two brothers, and that He makes their status that of the master of martyrs, and that He gathers them with the Prophets, Companions, martyrs and the righteous. And such great companions they were. Ameen, Oh Lord of the Worlds.

Therefore, in spite of all the suppression and torture that Hizb ut Tahrir faces in Uzbekistan, it has multiplied its efforts, seeking the pleasure of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and working towards the implementation of the Khilafah state. A state which will establish the legislative rulings into practice and implementation throughout all aspects of life, whether it was in politics or economy or education or the social system, etc. and it is a state which adheres and rules by the orders of Allah alone.

The enemy of Allah, the tyrant of Uzbekistan, Karimov who is vindictive against Islam, shows his hatred against Muslims in general, and especially against Hizb ut Tahrir members. He fabricates false criminal charges against Hizb members to prolong their prison term or to suspend their release after serving their term.

Karimov and his thugs refused to release Hizb members who were arrested between 1999-2000 after completing their 10-14 year prison sentence by fabricating criminal charges against them and sentencing them with additional prison time. Among these Shababs are: Brother Sameen from Engekurgan from the province of Fergana detained for 19 years. Abdumana from Margelana was sentenced a second term of 3.5 years. Madhfur Ahmaduf from Andijan was also sentenced for a second term of 3 years. Qadrat Khujah was sentenced to 3.5 years. Merazah Kantif Nusrallah sentenced to 6 years.

Karimov Shawwkat, was born in 1964 in Uzbekistan. He was sentenced to prison in 1999 charged with connection to Hizb ut-Tahrir. He was sentenced to nine years in prison. After he completed his term in 2008, the head of the regime did not release him and he was sentenced to an additional three years. Again after the completion of the second sentence in 2011, the judge refused his release sentencing Shawwkat to another three years until 2014.

Karimov and his thugs do not spare any kind of brutal torture in the prisons. He has employed torture in many prisons in Uzbekistan that are filled with innocents, particularly the shebaab from Hizb ut-Tahrir. This torture does not cease but is continuous over many years. Note that this party is a political party and does not adopt acts of violence, but limits to thoughts and this is a fact that is universally accepted.

In mid-June of this year, 2011, the oppression from the regime intensified against us to the worst imaginable levels. They tortured all the members of our party in this prison and forced them to reveal who amongst us takes care of the member’s affairs in the prison and supervises the religious lessons. One of prisoners could not tolerate the severe torture and he admitted that the one who leads the prisoners inside the prison is a man called Panji from Urgench city. And so they began torturing Panji whilst he stood solid, firm and patient, He said nothing about who takes care of the affairs.

We direct this address firstly to the Muslims of the world, for this oppression falls on a people only because they carry the Islamic call, and we direct it secondly to all human rights organizations, and thirdly to all liberated people in the world. What we mention here are just some examples that happened over the last month, though they were preceded by many atrocities from this regime, that we have mentioned previously.

The torture and repression of Muslims in Uzbekistan continues unabated a mere week after the visit of the tyrant Islam Karimov to Brussels. Karimov went to Brussels and met with NATO Secretary-General, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the European Commission President, José Manuel Barroso, and EU Energy Commissioner Gunther Oettinger.

I sent you part of the treatment that has been inflicted on us by the ruling authority in Uzbekistan; the prosecution, imprisonment and torture which amounts to death in many cases. Such treatment is not limited to us only in Hizb ut-Tahrir but includes all of the workers for the Islamic Call. The number of prisoners from Hizb ut-Tahrir alone in the prisons of Uzbekistan is approximately eight thousand, even though that party does not exert any acts of violence.

The systematic torture meted out by the corrupt Karimov regime against the Shabab of the Hizb ut-Tahrir in Uzbekistan has intensified greatly in recent times. We have received the following update from Central Asia.

“Indeed this oppressive ruler has instructed his cronies to imprison further Shabab and intensify their punishment and prolonging their prison sentences to a minimum of 10 years and over. Recently, 18 Shabab from Karasawa have been imprisoned, a further 10 from Tashkent and 15 from the North, all receiving sentences ranging from 10-13 years. This is on top of the many thousands of Muslims which already languish in the prisons. As a result of the torture, 3 shabab were recently martyred who include: Ghalib Malajanoth from the city of Andijan, Shadman from the city of Nahayat Asaka and Abdulraheem from the city of Karasawa.
