On January 29, 2017 six Muslims were murdered, five critically injured (and 12 others injured) by Alexandre Bissonnette, a Quebec xenophobe. It is important to reflect upon Quebec’s environment in the lead-up to the attack. The atmosphere of hate that gave Bissonnette the confidence to kill was built by Quebec’s opportunistic politicians over a period of years.
