One of the basic elements in the long electoral stalemate in Afghanistan was the internal rift between the colonialist powers. The most prominent aspects of this problem were the struggle between U.S. and UK including European Union. Britain and EU, from the very beginning of the election, never wanted U.S. to sign the BSA with a government that has endorsement and validation of its people. In order to do that, they took full benefit from the 2014 elections, so that to curtail U.S. sole authority in Afghanistan. However, many of the diplomatic channels of US tried to convince Britain by offering them a fair share in Afghanistan, so that they put a stop to this long electoral tension between the two candidates.

Therefore, Ashraf Ghani, after having an extensive tussle between Abdullah Abdullah on the election rigging, reached to a settlement that was clearly against the laws of Afghanistan and as a result Abdullah become the Chief Executive of the country, a post that has no precedence in the history of Afghanistan. In order to show its good will to Britain, Ashraf Ghani made Muhammad Hanif Atmar, which is the old pawn of UK, as National Security Advisor, who in the first 48 hours of his service signed the BSA with the U.S. and NATO and attested his subservience to the west.

Muhammad Hanif Atmar was the member of intelligence service of “Khad” during the U.S.S.R. invasion to Afghanistan. In addition, he completed all his higher studies in UK. All his written books and articles have been published in UK in the English language. Moreover, relations between Atmar and UK are known to every student of Afghan politics.

On the other hand, global powers have always been in struggle to control the National Security Advisory of Afghanistan, because it is the National Security Advisory that making security and intelligence strategies, creating security related issues among the public and getting black funds for its operations from other intelligence services. They are the ones that trade on the blood and honors of the Muslims of Afghanistan, and therefore, every intelligence agency wants to find a door to inter into the government affairs through it.

Historically, in the 13 year-long war in Afghanistan, US and Britain faced each other when their own interests collided and every time they settled on their evil and colonialist motives at the expense of Afghanistan and its people. This time too the visit of David Cameron was to have a good share in the newly elected Afghan government and to strengthen its puppets directly in the government; this visit was precisely to ensure that.

The struggle between the colonialist forces in the Islamic lands is not a new phenomenon rather it is because of their internal tussles upon the resources and strategic locations, that usually leads to wars in those specific areas and countries. That is the reason why Ashraf Ghani was asking David Cameron for his role in bringing peace and stability and said that peace could only be possible when the global powers back this process.
