Why is Afghanistan a Playing Field for America and Russia; NATO and Shanghai?

On 6th April, the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s press release expressed that, last week Chinese, Pakistani and Russian diplomats held a meeting in Beijing, discussing the situation in Afghanistan, in which they stressed the effective and active role of Shanghai cooperation Organization in the reconstruction of Afghanistan. Before this meeting, in April, the Foreign Policy magazine quoted Russian officials saying that After 2014 Moscow wants to build few military bases in Afghanistan. The purpose of these bases would be to protect the Russian efforts of construction and safeguarding their interests. However, Russia so far has rejected its military presence in Afghanistan. In addition to this the head of Russian Anti-Narcotics Agency, Victor Ivanovo, said on April 4th that due of the NATO presence in Afghanistan poppy cultivation has increased over 40%, which is causing great damage not only to Afghanistan but Russia as well.

Geo-politically, Afghanistan is considered to be the heart of Asia, which is why it has always been a battle ground amongst the superpowers of the world. Even in the recent past it has been a battlefield amongst Russia and Great Britain then came the U.S. and USSR. However, it’s an established fact that whosoever came to Afghanistan and tried to occupy it, has severely defeated; therefore, Afghanistan is also famously known as the ‘Graveyard of Empires’.

In the year 1991 after the disintegration of USSR, the U.S. initiated democratizing and westernizing the states that were liberated from the USSR, at a time when Russia was severely damaged and was suffering from extreme crises, so far so that it was not even able to tackle the internal chaos. But when in 1999 Putin became the president of Russia, he managed to devise a long-term strategic plan and once again enabled Russia to stand on its own feet and make Russia an effective player in regional and world politics. However, just after 9/11 the U.S. molded the world public opinion in favor of launching another crusade against the Islamic Ummah and invaded Afghanistan in 2001 and Iraq in 2003, jointly with NATO forces.

This situation gave a golden opportunity to Russia to develop its internal and external might as well as focus on its foreign policy objectives and economics. In this twelve year long war of Afghanistan, Russia always adopted the policy to keep the U.S and NATO forces busy in the issues of Narcotics and the ‘war against terrorism’. Russia always negated U.S. negotiation with the armed groups and has always stood against any such peace deal, in the UN Security Council.

On the other hand, the U.S. and NATO forces are striving hard to stop the re-establishment of the Islamic Khilafah, and are struggling to take control of the natural resources, their transportation routes, so that to control Eurasia and encircle Russia and China.

Moreover, with the recent statements and stands of Russia, old communist groups are trying to rearrange themselves in Afghanistan. These groups are trying to restart the same old ‘cold war’ and to start their propaganda campaign against unipolarism and colonialism. As in the last twelve years, America has failed to cleanse the Afghanistan Intelligence agencies from Russian influence as well as control the technical necessity of Afghan National Security Forces. However, the communist circles do not understand the fact that this time Russia is not the same USSR, representing Communism Ideology rather it has also become a capitalist country, which is the mother of colonialism.

Some pragmatic analysts believe in the cooperation between NATO and Shanghai and consider it beneficial for Afghanistan, yet consider their internal rift and struggle, as Warsaw and NATO, against the interests of Afghanistan. However, reality dictates that under the guise of war on terror, the prime objective is to hinder the unification of the Muslim Ummah under the Islamic Khilafah and thwarting the political and intellectual struggle for this. So when it comes to this, America, NATO, Russia, China and their puppets ruling the Muslim world, also speak the same language and support each other.

The best example to illustrate this is the massacre of Chechen Muslims by Russia, for which never the U.S. raised any slogan of Human Rights violation or any concerns of innocent human losses. Similarly Russia never used its veto power against U.S. illegal and immoral invasion of Afghanistan, just because if its share of interests. Even after that in 2005, with the cooperation of both U.S. and Russia thousands of Muslims were brutally murdered by the Karimov regime, and now in Syria, where the protesters are calling for revival of the Khilafah state, America, hiding behind the veto power of Russia and China, is giving time to Bashar al-Assad and is supporting it, till U.S. finds another puppet to replace him.

On the other hand, the same countries who are unified against Muslims are struggling against each other to secure their economic benefits. You can witness the greater interest of U.S. in Pacific Ocean, the issues of Japan and China, North and South Korea, Iran Nuclear issue, Middle East, Central Asia, Europe, Africa and Far East, are all these areas where there is a power struggle for markets and resources, amongst the major capitalist powers of the world. Therefore, the prime objectives of the Shanghai Cooperation member countries is to keep U.S. and NATO forces busy in this quagmire for as long as possible, so that Russia continue increasing its political, economic and military might, especially in the region.

Therefore, until the Muslim Ummah is unified under the banner of Khilafah, which ruled the world for centuries and have protected the blood, honor, resources and unity of the Ummah, the infidel colonialists will always be in conflict with each other on our resources and lands. The recent past has made it clear to every sensible Muslim that in the absence of Khilafah we shall always have issues like Afghanistan, Chechnya, Palestine, Iraq etc., which no one can resolve permanently but the army of the Khilafah state. For instance, in Afghanistan when Great Britain was defeated; Russia replaced it and when Russia was defeated, then America replaced Russia. Now when America is on the verge of defeat another colonialist power will replace it and this will continue until we establish the Deen of Allah (swt) through the re-establishment of the Khilafah state, which will put an end to colonialists and their evil struggles in the Islamic lands. Soon the system of justice ‘Islam’ will eradicate the system of oppression and tyranny ‘Capitalism’, and will take the humanity towards success in this world as well as in the Hereafter.

“If their iman is the same as yours then they are guided. But if they turn away, they are entrenched in hostility. Allah will be enough for you against them. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.”
