Syrian Rebels Launch Aleppo Counter-Attack to Break Siege

After the restoration of the siege around eastern Aleppo by Assad forces, the revolutionaries in Syria are making a renewed effort to break the new siege.

According to Reuters reporting today:

Syrian rebels including jihadists counter-attacked the army and its allies on Friday aiming to break a weeks-long siege on eastern Aleppo, insurgents said.

The assault, employing heavy shelling and suicide car bombs, was mainly focused on the city’s western edge by rebels based in the countryside outside Aleppo. It included Jabhat Fateh al-Sham, a former affiliate of al Qaeda previously known as the Nusra Front, and groups fighting under the Free Syrian Army (FSA) banner.  [www.reuters.com]

The Syrian revolutionaries are succeeding in putting major world powers under considerable pressure only because these non-Muslim powers are actually divided against each other. America has succeeded in largely keeping rival European powers away from the battlefield. And although America is using Russia in Syria, it remains deeply suspicious of it, resulting in repeated conflict between America and Russia.

Any one of the major powers has overwhelming military capability compared to the few resources Muslims practically possess. But the sincere believers have a completely unmatched resource – the support of Allah (swt).

Clinton’s Lead Over Trump Narrows in Last Two Weeks Before Election

Despite the most amazing allegations of misconduct against Donald Trump, electoral poll surveys indicate that American voters are still not prepared to vote overwhelmingly for Hilary Clinton. To add to Clinton’s troubles, the FBI has reopened a probe into Hilary Clinton’s email security from when she was Secretary of State.

Of course, in part, Clinton requires that the election be portrayed as a tight race until the end, in order to persuade her supporters of the desperate need to come out on election day to vote for her. But it is still astonishing that Clinton is so deeply unpopular in America that she is being seen as only slightly ahead of Trump at this stage. Clinton and Trump are considered the two most unpopular Presidential candidates in recent American history.

Muslims should gain insight into the true reality of democracy from these elections in ‘the world’s oldest democracy’ and the superpower of the democratic age.

In fact, the American electorate is presented with a choice between two factions of the ruling elite, as is the case in many other so-called democratic countries, such as Britain.

It is a mistake to think that this is because America is not yet democratic enough. On the contrary, this is the true reality of democracy – a false dream to persuade the masses to support the elite.

Democracy is a theoretically invalid concept – it is not conceivably possible for hundreds of millions of people to practically devise complex legislation to run a modern state. Inevitably, the project is hijacked by the elite, able to rule for their own benefit with very little external limitations.

Xi Jinping named as ‘Core’ of the Communist Party

In a significant departure from the previous trend in China, President Xi Jinping has been named ‘core’ of the Communist Party at its four-day plenum which ended on Thursday.

Recent leaders had sought to downplay the element of personality in Chinese politics, as this was in contradiction to Communist thinking about collective leadership. Also, China suffered heavily from the violent oppression of the personality cult of its communist founder Mao Zedong, just as the Soviet Union suffered from the cult of Stalin.

In fact the Capitalist West also believes in collective leadership: the prime minister, for example, is understood to be ‘first amongst equals’ and not a supreme leader in his or her own right. In the presidential system power is kept divided between executive and legislative branches.

However, the reality of human nature is that decision-making requires a single ruler who takes ultimate responsibility for all state decisions. Islam is fully in conformity with human nature in all respects, and in this most important issue of ruling has determined that a single individual, the Khalifah, is responsible for decision-making. But by determining this explicitly, Islam has also provided the necessary safeguards to contain the ruler within the limits of Shar’a.

It is noteworthy that one of the last of the Khulafah, Sultan Abdul Hameed (raheemahu Allah), whom the West had portrayed as an imperial dictator, was removed after decades of rule by a simple legal device – a fatwa from the Sheikh al-Islam.

Insha’Allah, the return of the Righteous Khilafah upon the method of the Prophethood is near, and the world will see again the true model of ruling and justice for mankind.

Merkel Suggests Christmas Carols, Flute-Playing in Face of Islam concerns

Chancellor Angela Merkel has admitted that she knows “there are concerns about Islam” in Germany and has a brand new idea as to how to address the issue: Germans should then stick to Christian traditions such as Christmas carols and playing the flute. “We’re the party with a C in its name,” Merkel told a special party meeting of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, where the chancellor’s party gained fewer votes than anti-immigrant populist Alternative for Germany (AfD). “How many Christmas carols do we still know? And how many of them will we pass to our children and grandchildren?” she then asked rhetorically, referring to her party agenda which commits itself to applying moderate Catholic values to politics and economy. Contrary to her previous remarks on Muslims being an integral part of the German community, Merkel said that “I know there are concerns about Islam,” urging people to recall Christian culture in order to tackle the challenge. “One should copy some [carols] music sheets and ask someone who can play flute [to assist],” she added. When some people at the congress laughed at her words, she said that she is “quite serious” about her suggestion and added that “otherwise, we will lose a piece of our homeland.” However the proposal to play Pied Piper amid the growing anti-Muslim sentiments in Germany raised eyebrows with some of the politicians in the country. “I think it’s a great idea, it’s great when people sing Christmas songs, and I also do it. But thinking that you can stop the Islamization of Germany by playing the flute is too much,” Beatrix von Storch, Member of the European Parliament and deputy head of the far-right party Alternative for Germany said in an interview with Sputnik’s German bureau. “This advice comes from the representative of the party which has the letter C in its name which means Christian rather than Vitamin C,” von Storch added. Merkel’s call to preserve traditional German values follows last month defeat of her Christian Democrat Union in the local elections held in a number of districts across the country.  The far-right, openly anti-Muslim AfD party has made significant gains in Germany’s local elections weaken Merkel’s chances of a fourth term in next year’s federal elections. Merkel’s biggest defeat was in Berlin, where AfD won 14.2 percent of the vote. Angela Merkel also suffered a defeat in regional elections in her constituency of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, with her CDU coming third behind the Social Democrats (SPD) and the rightwing populists AfD. For the past 10 years, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has been governed in a “grand coalition” between the SPD and CDU, mirroring the current power structure at the federal level. The result is seen as a reaction to Merkel’s immigration policy with many CDU voters shifting towards the AfD to register their disapproval. [Source: Russia Today]

Bereft of ideas, Merkel suggests that by singing songs Germans will return to Christianity and prevent Islamization of Germany. Atheism is more of a threat to Christian values than Islam. In fact, if Germans adopted Islam they could halt the tide towards atheism and safeguard Christian values.

Britain Sends Tanks, Drones and 800 Troops to Russian Border Amid Fears of All-Out Nuclear War

Britain is sending the biggest troop deployment on the Russian border since the Cold War amid fears Russia is poised to attack. Hundreds of UK troops plus tanks, jets and drones are being sent to Eastern Europe to combat the rise of Russia, it was confirmed yesterday. Fears are growing that President Vladimir Putin could be plotting to invade the Baltic states – which broke away from Russia when the Soviet Union collapsed in the early 1990s. After Russia snatched Crimea from Ukraine in 2014, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland have been boosting their armed forces and begging for NATO to beef up its presence to counter an invasion threat. But the UK Defence Secretary Michael Fallon today confirmed at NATO headquarters in Brussels that Britain would be sending tanks, drones and 800 troops to Estonia. Combat forces will be bolstered by Warrior armoured fighting vehicles, Desert Hawk bomb-hunting drones, and four Challenger 2 main battle tanks. Mr Fallon said: “I am confirming details today of our deployment as part of the forward presence in Estonia next year, a full sized British battalion with light armour, Challenger 2 tanks, Warriors vehicles, French and Danish companies in support. That deployment will begin next spring [May].“This is Britain stepping up in NATO, beefing up the reassurance that we are able to offer. “Although we are leaving the European Union, we will be doing more to help secure the eastern and southern flanks of NATO.” He confirmed RAF Typhoon war jets will police the skies around the Black Sea from a Romanian airbase next year. “I hope this will provide reassurance for that entire region, certainly in Romania, Bulgaria, Black Sea generally and including Turkey,” he added. Other powerful NATO members will also send troops to the Baltic states and eastern Europe. [Source: The Sun]

800 UK troops and 2 tanks is hardly going to deter Russia. The aim of tabloid scaremongering and doomsday scenarios is intended to prepare public opinion for a possible Western led offensive against Russia and not the other way round. Putin is being demonized in the West for resisting US demands on a number of issues.

Pakistan, Philippines Threaten to Leave U.S. for Stronger China/Russia Ties

Pakistan and the Philippines have threatened to break ties with the United States and forge a closer relationship with Russia and China, accusing America of ignoring their concerns. In commenting on their resentment towards the U.S., Pakistan characterized the United States as a “declining” world power and the Philippines said America has “failed” them. One of Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s diplomats has reportedly warned that their country would cozy up to China and Russia if the United States fails to consider its position on the increasingly worsening Pak-India conflict in the disputed Himalayan region of Kashmir. “[The] US is no longer a world power. It is a declining power. Forget about it,” Mushahid Hussain Syed, the Pakistani PM’s special envoy to Kashmir, said at an Oct. 5 discussion at the Atlantic Council, a U.S. think tank. Meanwhile, Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte’s top diplomat has defended his leader’s threats to move away from its relationship with the United States. “America has failed us. This is at the core message of [Duterte] to the American people and the world,” Foreign Affairs Secretary Perfecto Yasay Jr. said in a statement, reports Philippine Star. [Source: Breitbart]

Both Pakistan and Philippines are protesting at the way America has treated them. In the case of Pakistan, the US refused to supply F16s, did not support Pakistan’s membership of the NSG and stood by India over the attacks in Kashmir. As for Philippines, the US withheld its support President Rodrigo Duterte’s tough stance on fighting drugs. If Pakistan and Philippines sincerely want to break from America’s stranglehold, their leaders have to do more than fiery rhetoric.

The Battle for Mosul Erupts

This week has seen the start of an offensive by the Iraqi army on the ISIS city of Mosul. This is after it had been under ISIS control for just under 2 years after they allegedly managed to defeat a force almost 10 times its size. While the entire opposition to ISIS is allegedly led by the Iraqi army, the reality on the ground is that their strength comes from the other forces. For example, much of the willpower, confidence and daring nature of the coalition forces on the ground comes from the Shi’ah militias. The Kurdish Peshmarga are also leading the front line with the US led coalition forces providing aerial and logistical support. All this is to restore confidence in the Iraqi army which alongside the US placed political apparatus, has failed the Iraqi people. Only time will tell as to how long this conflict will drag on and who will be victorious on the other side.

Attack in Quetta

At least 60 people have been killed in an attack on a police training centre in the city of Quetta, Pakistani officials say. Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, Home Minister of Balochistan province, said early on Tuesday that five to six armed men attacked a dormitory inside the training facility while cadets rested and slept. The Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) claimed responsibility for the attack. The group, which has been outlawed by the government, has been involved in past attacks on security forces. This attack follows a clampdown in Punjab province by the army which managed to annihilate the groups leadership. The attacks by LeJ and other militia groups target Pakistan’s security forces as they view them as the problem, but in reality it is the leadership of the country that has changed the direction the army faces. Whist the army previously faced its rival India over the dispute of Kashmir it now faces its own people and has done so since it joined the so-called War on Terror under Musharaaf. The security situation will not be resolved unless the direction of the country is reverted.

China Intensifies Drive against Muslims

The Chinese regime announced that on 1st November it will be implementing new education rules in the Muslim majority province of Xinjiang that will punish parents who encourage their children into religious activities. Beijing is calling people to report their neighbors, friends and relatives to the police if they, “organize, lure or force minors into attending religious activities.” The new rules state, “Any group or person has the right to stop these kinds of behaviours and report them to the public security authorities”, and that parents and guardians should not promote so-called “extremist” beliefs in children nor force them to dress in “extremist clothing”. This intensification of the campaign to distance the future generation of Muslims in East Turkestan from reflects the Chinese regime’s desperation and utter failure in suppressing the overwhelming and unstoppable resurgence of Islam in the region. Despite China’s global rise, internally it has struggled to convince much of its population of its values and the Muslims of Xinjiang have also remained a thorn for the Communist leadership.
