Trump says Cancelled G-20 Side Meeting with Putin over Ukraine alone

According to The Hill:

President Trump on Friday said Russia’s recent military actions against Ukraine were the “sole reason” he decided to scrap a planned meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin at this week’s Group of 20 summit.

In remarks to reporters, Trump downplayed the notion that the meeting was canceled due to developments in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Moscow’s interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

“We don’t like what happened, we’re not happy about what happened,” Trump said during a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, referring to Russia’s seizure of Ukrainian naval vessels and personnel earlier this week. “On the basis of what took place with the ships and sailors, that was the sole reason.”

In fact, Trump has only cancelled the meeting because of domestic American public opinion against Russia. Otherwise, America is the one that is drawing Russia into conflict with Europe over Ukraine.

Even though the West share a common ideology, bitter rivalry and competition exist between them. American values should require that Europe receives full American support and that America should sternly oppose any Russian encroachment into Europe. But the reality is that America wishes to keep European powers such as France and Germany in a state of weakness and permanently locked into American military defence through NATO. In order to do this, America attempts to drive conflict between Europe and Russia by drawing Russia into confronting Europe.

The Capitalist creed was built through secular compromise between Christianity and the materialist atheistic philosophy that considers man to be motivated by worldly self-interest alone. Consequently, states established on this materialist Capitalist ideology are of the greatest danger in the world because they will harm even their apparent friends in order to advance themselves. The world will not return to peace, justice and harmony until the re-establishment of the righteous Islamic Khilafah (Caliphate) State on the method of the Prophet ﷺ that takes as its ideology the Deen of Islam whose essential philosophy is the mixing of the material with the spirit thus directing it to a far higher goal than attaining the temporary pleasures of this world.

Trump continues to use Saudi Crisis to Sell American Arms

According to CNBC:

Saudi Arabia has signed a letter of offer and acceptance with the United States for Lockheed Martin’s THAAD missile system, a significant step forward in the $15 billion deal, a State Department spokesperson confirmed to CNBC…

The development comes as Saudi Arabia is under fire over the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, as well as its role in the war in Yemen. President Donald Trump, meanwhile, has cited the importance of defense deals in defending his decision to stick with the kingdom in the aftermath of the slaying. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has denied knowledge of the attack, although the CIA reportedly concluded that he ordered Khashoggi’s death.

Saudi Arabia’s rulers continue to pay vast sums of money for American equipment instead of channelling their considerable funding into developing their own indigenous industry. US President Trump continues to back the Saudi Crown Prince because of just such deals that he is able to conclude with him. Our rulers exist not for our benefit but for the benefit of the West. It is the non-Islamic systems of government in our countries, whether dictatorial, monarchical or even democratic, that enables a Western-oriented elite to capture the levers of power. We will not have sincere leadership until these systems are replaced with the Islam, whose system has been detailed in the Quran and Sunnah and is beyond the manipulation of elite interest.

US welcomes Imran Khan’s Kartarpur Initiative for Improving Pak-India Relations

According to the Dawn:

The United States has welcomed the opening of the Kartarpur corridor for Sikh pilgrims, hoping that it would increase people-to-people ties between India and Pakistan.

At a US State Department news briefing on Thursday afternoon, deputy spokesperson Robert Palladino said Washington had always welcomed efforts for improving relations between the two South Asian neighbours.

“I’m aware of the reports of this Kartarpur corridor … I understand that it’s kind of a visa-free way for Indians to visit this important Sikh site,” said Mr Palladino when asked to comment on Pakistan’s decision to allow Sikh pilgrims to visit one of their holiest shrines.

“And of course, the United States — we would welcome efforts to increase people-to-people ties between India and Pakistan. I’d leave it at that,” he added.

Muslims have always protected non-Muslim communities living amongst them and secured their access to their places of worship. But Imran Khan’s actual agenda in opening the Kartarpur corridor to Indian Sikhs is the normalisation of relations with India’s Modi, who like all his predecessors is entirely unconcerned with the suffering of Muslims in Kashmir and has in particular made a political career out of the oppression of Muslims. With Modi’s American tilt, the US also promotes normalised relations between Pakistan and India.

There is nothing wrong in general with the use of temporary normalisation with non-Muslim entities and, as is well known, the Prophet ﷺ normalised relations with the Quraish at one point, which led to the Treaty of Hudaibiya that forestalled a dangerous alliance against the nascent Islamic State. But it is not at all acceptable to seek permanent normal relations, especially so with powers that are in occupation of Muslims lands and physically oppressing their Muslims citizens. It is through such actions that our rulers betray their actual loyalties.

UK School Playing Fields Exposes Ugly Reality of Western Society

According to the Independent:

Physical and verbal attacks are increasingly becoming part of the refugee experience – partly because of the debate around Brexit, MPs and support groups have warned.

A “toxic environment” is seeing a rise in hate crimes targeted at children, they said, in the wake of a brutal attack on a young Syrian refugee.

A video showed the 15-year-old boy being grabbed by the neck and thrown to the floor, at a school in Huddersfield last month. The attack, in which he also had water poured over his face, shocked much of the country.

The shocking attack on Syrian children seeking refuge in the UK is unfortunately not an isolated attack, nor even related to refugee children alone. It is has become the basic nature of Western society to tolerate from their youth conduct that far exceeds simple misbehaviour. This is the inevitable consequence of adopting the atheistic values of ‘freedom of the individual’ according to which man lives as he pleases, especially when Western culture considers worldly material self-interest to be all that is worthy of pursuit. It is sadly unfortunate that Syrian families fleeing the wars at home find themselves having to take refuge in the West, which is the very cause of those wars. It is the West that imposed dictators upon us such as the butcher of Damascus, Bashar al-Assad, in order to retain control over the lands, resources and wealth of Muslims. Exploitative Western foreign policy comes from the same values that creates ugliness on Western school playgrounds. Or, as remarked upon by a victorious British naval commander, the battle of Waterloo was won on the playing fields of Eton.
