Bangladesh and USA have been organizing joint military exercise on a regular basis. On November 2009, Special Warfare Dive and Salvage Unit of Bangladesh Navy will participate in the latest exercise titled “Tiger Shark”. US embassy in Bangladesh claimed that through this exercise, the two armed forces will be training on countering terrorism, maritime piracy and other threats to coastal areas.

US-Bangladesh joint military exercise is a process to bring Bangladesh armed forces under US control
Chief Coordinator and Official Spokesman of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Bangladesh Mohiuddin Ahmed in a press release issued today condemned the decision to hold US-Bangladesh joint military exercise in Chittagong division. Bangladesh and USA have been organizing joint military exercise on a regular basis. On November 2009, Special Warfare Dive and Salvage Unit of Bangladesh Navy will participate in the latest exercise titled “Tiger Shark”. US embassy in Bangladesh claimed that through this exercise, the two armed forces will be training on countering terrorism, maritime piracy and other threats to coastal areas.
But the truth is that these joint trainings are part of process to subjugate Bangladesh armed forces under US command. They pave the way for the US army to come to Bangladesh, in the process of which they gain valuable information of the ground reality. We need to remember that strategically important Chittagong Hill Tracts is located within the Chittagong division. The Bay of Bengal as well as the only functional sea port of the country is also located in Chittagong. The region also borders Myanmar against which the US has designs due to the country’s close relations with China.
In any case how can the Muslim army hold joint exercises with the army of USA, the enemy of the Muslim Ummah? The USA has occupied and attacked Iraq-Afghanistan-Pakistan under the guise of countering terrorism and destroying weapons of mass destruction. How can the best sons of the Ummah train with them? The US soldiers dishonoured the noble Qur’an; and killed, raped and tortured our brothers and sisters and still continue to commit these crimes. How can the descendants of Khalid bin Walid (ra), Tariq bin Ziad, Salauddin Ayubi even have a meeting with them? Rather the responsibility of the Muslim armed forces right at this moment is to liberate the Ummah from the hands of USA and other imperialists. There is no doubt that capitalism has failed, the torch bearer of capitalism, i.e. the USA is also moving down the line of destruction and Islam will definitely be victorious. We must remember that Allah سبحانه وتعالى is the All-Powerful and He سبحانه وتعالى is the source of strength and power. Muslim Ummah has all the capability to face any so-called powerful nation and has the quality to lead the whole world. Despite having the capability, if the Muslim armed forces do not come forward to liberate the Ummah, then they must remember that we will have to stand in front our Creator سبحانه وتعالى on the Day of Resurrection.
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ اسْتَجِيبُواْ لِلّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُم لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ
“O you who believe! Answer the call of Allah and His Messenger, when He calls you to that which gives you life.” (8:24)
