The Roadmap and the Supposed Peace…Will the Disastrous Scene of Naivasha Be Repeated in Sudan Once Again?!

On Monday 08/08/2016, Sudan Call forces signed a roadmap in the capital of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. The Sudan Call forces in a general press release immediately following the signing said that they are ready to move forward with open minds and hearts in the process of reaching a lasting peace and a comprehensive national constitutional dialogue. From another angle, on Saturday 06/08/2016, Al-Bashir, in a speech to the National Dialogue General Assembly, expressed his welcome to the agreement of the Sudan Call alliance to sign the roadmap and renew their commitment to his government through the comprehensive implementation of the conclusions of the National Dialogue.

It is no longer hidden from every observer who is the one behind the roadmap. The one who initiated it, applied pressure in respect to it and oversaw it, until it reached this signing? So finally, America, through its envoy, Donald Booth, has succeeded in steering the Sudan Call forces, to sign the roadmap after shuttle trips, which the man undertook between Paris, Khartoum and Addis Ababa. Through which he realised an accomplishment in favour of the American project (The National Dialogue). That is because America is the one that engineered the Naivasha accord previously and tore up and divided Sudan through it, and now we are witnessing its catastrophic results and bitter fruits.

We in Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah of Sudan have not been fabricating our deep concern throughout this time and we advise like the bare warner as we expose and make clear that America is the one who is behind the idea of the dialogue and its roadmap, through which it wants to bring together the armed groups and political forces in order to formulate an explicitly secular constitution and diminish the country’s unity, threatening it with thoughts of autonomy and Federalism. This was reiterated by the former deputy to the president of the republic and current head of the intellectual and cultural sector of the National Conference, Al-Hajj Adam, when he said during a discussion with the Saihah Newspaper on 10/08/2016: “The dialogue is looking into how Sudan is to be ruled and arrived at the setting down of approaches (or methodologies) for Sudan’s rule.”

As for those who are saying that the (American) roadmap will stop the war and fighting in Darfur, South Kordofan and Blue Nile, then this statement of theirs only reflects throwing dust in the eyes and contrary to the true reality. That is because the very same talk was said at the time of the Naivasha signing that led to the spread of wars in the edges of the country and its centre, indeed within both states; Sudan and South Sudan, which has dived into continuous tribal violence and its victims number in the thousands. That is because the South would not have been prepared for separation had it not been for America’s wishes and the Naivasha accord is still being cursed by the people and all those who curse. Even those who signed it regret what they signed as was made clear by the statement of President Al-Bashir on the CNBC channel: “We have sacrificed the unity of Sudan and been divided into two states whilst our primary goal had been the realisation of peace. However, very unfortunately, we have currently lost both the unity and the peace.”

The problems of the country and its people will not be solved unless the sitting down to solve them is in accordance to a political thought that defines the rights and obligations and gives each deserving person his Haqq (right). Islam in its description as being a unique mode of living treats the problems of the people and organises their lives. It alone changed the life of the Arabs from Jaahilliyah (ignorance) to an honourable and dignified life, and it is Islam alone that integrated the people, the white and the black and treated their problems in their capacity as being humans, so that they became brothers after having been hostile before that. It alone represents the solution to all of Sudan’s problems.

So let the desire for peace be a real and true desire and that will happen by cutting the hand of America that meddles in the country and establishing the systems of the Lord of all people, the system of Islam. This alone will remove the oppression and prevent the corruption and fighting amongst groups. So for the like of this solution let the people engage in work.
