The European countries’ alarm bells rang after the publication of images of the dead bodies of Aylan and Ghalib – a three year old and five year old- on the sands of a beach in Turkey, which has already reshaped the debate about the refugee crisis in the European Commission. The migrants file is roused again and with great reaction, as if this is the first case that was recorded regarding the suffering of the refugees across the Mediterranean, and the suffering of their loss of lives. Hundreds have drowned in the tormenting journeys, especially after neighboring countries closed their coasts before this flow, which lead to dozens of boats losing their way, and terrifying stories spread about what happened to the migrants at sea. This is in addition to the mass graves of women and children whose only crime is their infatuation with the allures of the European countries and the alleged rights and freedoms they offer; which exposed its deception with the first incidents of those drowning into the depths of the raging sea waves.

The West and its collaborators are distracting public opinion by raising an issue whenever they see fit and for certain political purposes. They fool the people pretending that they are meeting for the cause of humanity. Where is the humanity of these leaders who are the main reason for the flow of these immigrants through their support for the brutal Baathist regime in Ash-Sham and who prolong its life to achieve their interests? This support, which threatens the migration of about five million people, mostly from those up for the unconventional migration as well as from the war in Iraq, Yemen, Libya; the lack of security and economic crises that they enflamed in many Muslim countries; and incitement of ethnic and sectarian conflicts, has made these immigrants pay the high price of their security and dignity, rendering them desperate in their home, so they decide to leave to places where they expect safety, but only to find death in the sea.

It was incumbent upon the rulers of the Muslim countries to raise the alarm bells at the first drop of blood spilled in the noble Ash-Sham! And when they received the first image of a woman being forced to the ground and humiliated by the police in Hungary, which is an Islamic land! And when they first heard the news of migrant sheltering centers that resemble animal cages! As well as the countless who have been forced to sleep in the open and spend their humble savings to secure their daily bread … it was incumbent upon them to open the borders of the Muslim countries to unite them and hold accountable all those who tampered with the security and safety of the Islamic Ummah! But alas, only those alive will respond to this call, but those whom we call (leaders) are dead.

Did you not previously receive the reports about the conditions of the migrants from the people of Syria, O Muslims?! Before you saw this innocent child who drowned?! The latest report published by the Syrian Network for Human Rights, late May reviewed the most prominent incidents of death of the people of Syria who drowned during irregular migration. It pointed to the deaths of at least 2150 people (75% of them being women and children) since the end of 2011?! How will you justify your inaction and complacency of their support tomorrow when you are in the hands of the King and Judge?!.

We in the Women’s Section in the Central Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir emphasize and reiterate to everyone that the real solution to the problem of migrants, indeed for humanity’s problems as a whole is a fair system that delivers safety, security and tranquility in the hearts of all the people. This is the rightly guided Khilafah system on the method of Prophethood. Allah سبحانه وتعالى says:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ اسْتَجِيبُواْ لِلّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُم لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّ اللّهَ يَحُولُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَقَلْبِهِ وَأَنَّهُ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ

“O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. And know that Allah intervenes between a man and his heart and that to Him you will be gathered.”

(Al-Anfal: 24)
