Suppression, Arrests and Terrorising People, will not Deter them from Expressing Discontent and Rejecting the Injustice of Oppressors

Following the distribution of a leaflet by Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah of Sudan with the title, “The Rise in Fuel Prices. Yet Another Step to Crush the Poor and Create More Poverty“, the security forces arrested a number of Shabab from Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah of Sudan and they are:

1. Sheikh Abdul Fatah Dhao Al Bait

2. Brother Adil Muhammad Khair

3. Brother Mahmoud Abdul Rahim Hamdi

4. Brother Jihad Mahmoud

5. Brother Akram Sa’d Al Hussain

6. Brother Khalid Basheer

7. Brother Abdul Rahman Ahmad

The claim of the Authorities that they do not prevent peaceful expression against the abusive, oppressive economic measures is nothing but lies and deception. The excessive use of force by the regime (live bullets) to suppress the demonstrators and arresting those that educate people with the good, is what leads to the perpetration of material actions as a result of the frustration felt by the people who feel that they were oppressed twice: Once by the rise in fuel prices and therefore the rise in all the prices of goods and services. And the other, is when they are prevented from expressing their rejection to these increases that only benefits the World Bank, IMF and the rest of the interest dealers (Murabeen); the latest colonialist tools.

We in Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah of Sudan warn the Government of their oppressive measures against the demonstrators who are expressing their discontent to the hardship they find in their living. And we also warn the government from the outcome of their measures of arresting people of thought and opinion who did not carry out material actions not because they fear the Authorities and its oppression, but by following the guidance and example of our beloved Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم who did not carry out any material action prior to the establishment of the state in Medina. The suppression, terrorising of people and their arrests will not deter them from expressing their discontent and rejection of injustice and oppressors.

We also direct a message to the Ummah and say: Accounting of rulers and making them revise their actions is a Shar’ obligation. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said,

سيد الشهداء حمزةُ بن عبد المطلب ورجُلٌ قام إلى إمام جائرٍ فأمرهُ ونهاهُ فقتلهُ

“The best of Martyrs is Hamza Ibn Abdul Muttalib and a man who stands up to a tyrant ruler (Imam) enjoining the good and forbidding the falsehood and is then killed by him (by the Imam)”

Though this is not by burning, breaking, and damaging of public and private properties. It is not allowed in Shariah to destroy the wealth of others on purpose nor damage it. Expression must be peaceful by any means so that this regime takes heed and is deterred from arresting the people and oppressing them and to return back from its arrogance to seek repentance from its Rabb. And to return matters where they belong by giving the Ummah its right to choose who will rule it by the book of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and the Sunnah of the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم so that he becomes the Ummah’s servant and implements the Shar’ of his Rabb.
