Rula Ghani makes her intentions clear by Supporting France’s Ban on the full veil

In a recent interview to Agency France-Press (AFP), the wife of the newly elected President Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai said that she supports the decision by the government of France, imposed in 2011, to stop the Muslim women from wearing full veil in public.

She even compared the full veil to ‘blinders’ and said, “Regarding the French law against the Niqab and Burqa which prevent women from being able to move freely and see, because the Niqab is a bit like blinders, I am in full agreement with the government of France.” She also said she hopes that by the end of her husband’s five-year term, men in Afghanistan will be more inclined to recognize whatever role their wives take.

One wonders why she, being a Christian herself, felt the need to answer such questions. In fact, she wants to make clear her intentions for the future, and what she has in her mind for the Afghan women.

Her view explains very well that Democracy and Dictatorship are two sides of the same coin, as in both that humans impose their own will, dictating others what to do, and what not to do!

The First Lady if she has the courage to speak against the imperial and colonial role France plays in Africa, even today.

The answer is NO, both President Ghani and his wife do not have the venture for that. They are quite hasty to deliver what their master U.S. and west expects from them.
