Drills with Russian Army is Co-operation with the Enemy
The Russian Army’s Commander-in-Chief Oleg Salyukov on 22 January announced that Russian ground forces will hold its first ever military exercises with Pakistan in the coming year, according to TASS news agency. The Russian Army is scheduled to hold seven international drills in 2016, including the “the first ever Russian-Pakistani special drills in mountainous terrain.” “As part of interaction with our foreign colleagues in 2016, we have scheduled seven joint exercises with the involvement of the relevant units of foreign states,” the Russian Army Commander-in-Chief said.
These exercises are taking place at a time where Russia is active in its aggression against the Muslims of Syria, in a bid to secure the tyrant of ash-Sham, Bashar al-Assad. Russian troops are now on the ground centred around Latakia, near the Syrian Coastal Mountain Range. At such a time, such exercises is co-operation with an open enemy of Muslims. It increases Russian capabilities in engaging the sincere revolutionaries of Syria in mountainous terrain. It allows the Russian to become familiar with the style of fighting of the Islamic Ummah’s most powerful armed forces. And it could be used as a prelude to Muslim forces being sent to engage their fellow Muslims in Syria. The regime is conducting such co-operation by hiding behind the flimsy excuse that it is trying to reduce reliance on the United States. Even if that were true, how is allying with another enemy, no less than hostility than America, reducing dependence on hostile nations? How does it excuse the rulers from implementing Islam, which is the first step to setting the Ummah on the course of becoming a world power?
Only the Khilafah (Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood will decisively end the dependence of Muslims upon foreign powers. It will work with seriousness to ensure that the Ummah carries out its primary role in international affairs, which is carrying the Dawah of Islam to the world. Its armed forces will be mobilized to open the lands to Islam, liberating humankind from the oppression of man-made law.
Jihad against Occupation Cannot be Delegitimised
In an interview to India’s PTI news agency at the White House on 23 January, Mr Obama noted that Mr Sharif recognised insecurity as a threat to Pakistan’s stability and that of the entire region. In the interview, published in the Indian media on 24 January, Mr Obama once again reminded Pakistan that it “can and must” take more effective action against terrorist groups operating from its soil by “delegitimising, disrupting and dismantling” their activities.
US President, Barack Obama, in his swan-song, lame-duck year is facing a far harder time regarding Pakistan than Presidents Carter and Reagan ever did, in whose era one of the longest and most expensive covert CIA operations ever undertaken, Operation Cyclone was taking place, whose funding began with $20–$30 million per year in 1980 and rose to $630 million per year in 1987, all to dislodge the Soviet Russian occupation. At that time the American policy was to strongly legitimize Jihad, praise mujahideen and support their activities. Far from being deligitimized, the culture of Jihad, its evidences from the Quran and Sunnah, its role throughout Islamic history in preventing occupation and challenging oppression were strongly propagated in Pakistan, including by America’s agents in Pakistan’s political and military leadership at that time. That was all of course, when America’s competitor was doing the occupying and not America itself.
Now America itself is occupying, its demand is to deligitimise Jihad, grinding against the deeply held attachment of the Muslims to the Quran and the Sunnah and stomping on their over millennium long service to Islam. Dutifully, its agents in Pakistan have started persecuting and arresting all those who have capability and command in Islamic thoughts, from ulema to doctors, engineers, university professors. Not surprisingly, all this stomping and grinding is now producing widespread and popular resentment. It has now got to the level where households know of extended family members that have been picked up for having inclinations towards Islam. All the regime has succeeded in doing is consolidating anti-American and anti-regime resentments and crystallizing commitment to Islam. RasulAllah ﷺ said,
«وَالْجِهَادُ مَاضٍ مُنْذُ بَعَثَنِي اللهُ إِلَى أَنْ يُقَاتِلَ آخِرُ أُمَّتِي الدَّجَّالَ، لَا يُبْطِلُهُ جَوْرُ جَائِرٍ، وَلَا عَدْلُ عَادِلٍ»
“And jihad will be performed continuously since the day Allah sent me as a prophet until the day the last member of my community will fight with the Dajjal. The tyranny of any tyrant and the justice of any just (ruler) will not invalidate it.”
Democracy Itself is Haraam Because Man Makes Law
The Senate Standing Committee on Science and Technology approved on 25 January the ‘Pakistan Halal Authority Bill, 2015’, paving way for the up-gradation of food laws in the country. The decision was taken at a meeting of the committee held with Senator Usman Saifullah in the chair. The bill, already approved by the National Assembly in December, will now be presented in the upper house for approval. Science and Technology Secretary Fazal Abbas Maken informed the committee that the ministry had been working on the bill since 2011, and all concerns of stakeholders about it had been addressed. The committee members said that laws were needed to discourage sale of items containing Haram ingredients. Thus, the regime makes a grand spectacle of pursuing the matter of pursuing Halal food, aware of the Islamic sentiments of the Muslims of Pakistan, but pays no regard to fact that Democracy itself is Haraam.
It is Democracy that makes lords over humankind besides Allah سبحانه وتعالى. Bayhaqi reported that Adiyy ibn Hatim, said: “I came to the Prophet wearing a cross of gold in my neck. And I heard him read from Surah Baraa’ah,
اتَّخَذُوا أَحْبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَانَهُمْ أَرْبَابًا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ
“They took the rabbis and monks as lords beside Allah”
(Surah At-Tawba 9:31)
I said, “O RasulAllah, they do not worship them. He said:
«أجل ولكن يحلون لهم ما حرم الله فيستحلونه ويحرمون عليهم ما أحل الله فيحرمونه فتلك عبادتهم لهم»
“Yes, but they made Halal for them what Allah forbade and they took it as Halal and they made Haram for them what Allah made Halal and they took it as Haraam and that is how they worshipped them.”
Democracy is a system that gives human-beings the choice to obey Allah سبحانه وتعالى or disobey Him, even though Allah سبحانه وتعالى has revealed,
وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ وَلاَ مُؤْمِنَةٍ إِذَا قَضَى اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَمْرًا أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُمْ الْخِيَرَةُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِمْ وَمَنْ يَعْصِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلاَلاً مُبِينًا
“It is not befitting for a believing man or woman to have any choice in a matter, when it has been decided upon by Allah and His Messenger.”
(Surah Al-Ahzab 33:36)
Democracy assigns assemblies of men and women as sovereign, allowing them to choose laws according to their whims and desires, even though Allah سبحانه وتعالى said,
وَأَنِ ٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُمْ بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ وَلاَ تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ وَٱحْذَرْهُمْ أَن يَفْتِنُوكَ عَن بَعْضِ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ
“And judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their desires, and beware (O Muhammad) that they might seduce you from some of what Allah has sent down to you.”
(Surah Al-Maaida 5:49)
Only in the Khilafah (Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood will laws be enacted according to all that Allah سبحانه وتعالى has revealed, decisively ending the exploitation of man by man through man-made law. And there is only one political party that can bring the change that Muslims need and long for. So, it is upon the Muslims to work now with Hizb ut Tahrir in its struggle to abolish Democracy and establish the Khilafah.
Expiry of a Tenure in Subservience to America
Chief of the Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif ended on 25 January growing speculations about an extension in his tenure through a brief, but sudden statement that paved the way for the government to start considering his successor who will take up the job from him in about 10 months from now. “I don’t believe in extension and will retire on the due date.” Gen Sharif’s statement, quoted by a military spokesman in a tweet, shattered the quietness of the slow start to the week. The 43-word statement issued on behalf of the army chief was meant to quash the debate on whether or not the government should give him an extension and if he would accept it. “Efforts to root out terrorism will continue with full vigour and resolve. Pakistan’s national interest is supreme and will be safeguarded at all costs,” Gen Sharif was quoted as having said.
The debate by the regime and its opposition has been confined to shallow rhetoric of abiding by tenure rules. This debate ignores the more important point, which is how such tenures are used and see how man-made systems have imprisoned us into implementing hegemony. For the sake of America Raheel Sharif effectively dictated foregn policy on both borders? Has Raheel Sharif not implemented US policy on both borders. Raheel Sharif engineered the Taliban split to herd them into the maze of negotiations, granting the crusader Americans relief. Raheel Sharif crossed the red-line of entering North Waziristan to crush resistance to American occupation. Raheel Sharif signalled talks with India when his trusted national security advisor met his Indian counterpart in Bangkok, which includes the permanent burial of the Kashmir issue. He maintained a muted response to increased Indian belligerence, encouraging Indian ambitions and allowing it to expand into a greater regional role, as per American aspirations. As such Raheel Sharif used his tenure just as Musharraf and Kayani did, in subservience to America.
The problem that Pakistan faces is not mere adherence to tenure rules. During their tenures, the current leaders rule by other than Allah سبحانه وتعالى has revealed, plunging Pakistan into ever greater danger before its enemies. Only the re-establishment of the Khilafah (Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood will ensure that the armed forces commanders are remembered for their services to Allah سبحانه وتعالى and His Messenger ﷺ, rather than betraying Muslims to their enemies.
