Normalization with India Represents Destruction for Pakistan

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on 11 December, the Indian foreign ministry said. The meeting took place at Mr Khan’s request. During the meeting, Mr Khan invited Mr Modi to visit Pakistan to further normalization with India. However, before running ahead with normalization, it must be considered that the normalization process represents grave danger. First of all it means abandoning the Muslims of Kashmir and Pakistan’s claim over the greater Jammu area. For India will not handover through talks what it took through force. Only fools would believe that. So the normalization process means line of control as permanent border. We will perhaps see some referendum of sorts or something similar which will involve the Kashmiris and which will declare that the people of the valley will settle for a demilitarized zone and autonomous self-governance. The rulers in Pakistan will present themselves as powerless in front of the “will of the Kashmiri people” and celebrate de-militarization as a major victory.

The current assessment of Pakistan’s policy makers is that they are far behind India on the conventional front. In fact this very logic is presented as the excuse for Pakistan’s expanding nuclear program or what is called the “full spectrum deterrence”. Imagine if normalization with India leads to de-militarization of the Kashmir valley. Already Pakistan’s policy makers claim they cannot match India in conventional strength. De-militarization of Kashmir will increase India’s military capabilities.

Pakistan’s nuclear program is India centric. The development of short range nuclear weapons in response to India’s Cold Start doctrine is proof of that. Recently the US has proposed that Pakistan abandon the short range missiles and some of its very long range missiles. In exchange US will offer Pakistan nuclear technology and access to nuclear material. Pakistan argues that it cannot match India in conventional strength so short range missiles are a counter to quick Indian conventional attack and very long range missile capability is to make sure every inch of India can be attacked through nuclear warheads hence they scare India off. If a permanent normalization deal with India is agreed, the whole justification for Pakistan’s nuclear program will fall apart. US has made it clear that it would seek to de-nuclearize Pakistan if radical elements take control of Pakistani state. In the presence of a permanent normalization deal, the US may insist on de-nuclearization without any condition.

Pakistan’s Afghanistan strategy for decades had been built on the concept of “strategic depth”. Although this policy has been completely abandoned by the current military leadership but some people believe that Pakistan is playing a “double game”. Let us take their argument at face value for argumentation’s sake. The “strategic depth” concept evolved as a military backup option in case a major Indian attack on mainland Pakistan was successful. Afghanistan would thus serve as a backup. Permanent normalization deal with India means Pakistan officially has no problem with Indian presence in Afghanistan as well.

Normalization between Pakistan and India contradicts every major defense policy which Pakistan has pursued in the past decades. It contradicts what Pakistan till now has called its “national interests”. One wonders why purse such a disastrous policy then? The normalization agenda between Pakistan and India is a US project. US seeks to build India as a regional and economic power as a counter to China. Pakistan’s rulers blindly follow the US dictations. They claim “peace” will bring “economic dividends”. They do this to sell this US project to their people. US projects only bring death and destruction and economic misery for Muslims. That is what our experience teaches us. Let us not be fooled by sweet talk. We know the US, more than that we know how “peaceful” India would be.

Only the Khilafah will End Sectarian Violence

At least 25 people were killed and 62 injured on 13 December when a device containing about 35 kilograms of explosives ripped through a makeshift market in Parachinar town of Kurram tribal region, residents and hospital sources said. A huge pall of black smoke and dust enveloped the entire area after the blast. According to witnesses, pieces of human flesh lay scattered everywhere. The groups identified themselves as Lashkar-i-Jhangvi Al Alami and Ansarul Mujahideen based in South Waziristan Agency and established a sectarian basis for the attack.

In slavish obedience to the Americans, the current regime and treacherous Muslim rulers fan sectarian hatred amongst Muslims to strengthen their unnatural rule over the masses. Encouraged by its American masters, it was the Pakistani regime under General Zia ul Haq which, fearing the desire for the implementation of Islam in the region and Pakistan, encouraged the formation of sectarian groups in Pakistan to discourage this tendency. Even today the Pakistani regime incites sectarian hatred amongst Muslims to justify its participation in America’s War on Islam using its own intelligence agencies or allowing the American Raymond Davis network to undertake its mischief. The regime and its mouthpieces also incite sectarian hatred amongst Muslims to counter and oppose the growing demand of implementation of Shariah in Pakistan and to advocate a secular civil democratic model of governance for Pakistan. Moreover through different education curricula for different schools of thought, the Pakistani state tries to preserve the divisions amongst the Muslims of Pakistan. The only beneficiary of sectarian violence is the master of the regime, America. They use sectarian violence to blacken the name of the noble Jihad against the American occupiers of Afghanistan. They use sectarian violence to claim that Islam can never be implemented and so the Muslims must accept the Kufr of democracy.

The Khilafah upon the method of the Prophethood alone will end sectarian tensions from its basis, as it alone will seek to ensure unity between Muslims. The Khilafah state is a political unity of all Muslims regardless of their interpretation of Shariah texts and Islamic history. As well as cutting off the destructive colonialist influence, the Khilafah state will use the media and the education curriculum to promote unity amongst Muslims of all schools of thought and impart the correct understanding of Islam being a bond of brotherhood between Muslims. A single education curriculum throughout the state will help shape this bond of unity amongst the Muslim population.  In Article 103 in the Introduction to the Constitution, Hizb ut-Tahrir states: “The institution of the Media Office is responsible for drawing up and executing the political media strategy for the State in order to support the interests of Islam and the Muslims. Internally, it works to build an Islamic society that is strong and cohesive, and it refutes that which is malicious while confirming that which is good. In external affairs it is to promote Islam during peace and war, in a manner that explains the greatness of Islam, its justice and the strength of its army, and expose the corruption and oppression of manmade system and the weakness of its army.” And in Article 177 it states: “The State has one unique curriculum and no other curriculum are allowed to be taught. Private schools are allowed as long as they adopt the State’s curriculum and establish themselves on the State’s educational policy and accomplish the goal of education set by the State, on condition  they do not allow mixing between male and female, whether student or teacher, and they are  not  specific to a sect, religion, school of thought, race or colour.”

Democracy Itself is to Blame for Pragmatic Voting in Karachi

Muttahida Qaumi Movement announced Waseem Akhtar as its nominee for the position of Karachi mayor with Arshad Vohra as his deputy. Addressing party members and workers via telephone from London, MQM leader Nadeem Nusrat announced the decision on Tuesday evening. Earlier this month, the MQM saw a landslide victory in local government elections in Karachi, clinching a maximum number of union committees – 135 of 209. The results shocked many because of the immense corruption within MQM, however, it is no surprise because pragmatic voting is caused by the system of corruption, Democracy.

Modern Democracy developed in the West through an incremental, slow, gradual process in which the masses fought the elites for their rights over centuries. In fact this is how a democracy is supposed to work. The elites control the resources through their control of the state. They distribute these resources to their political supporters. If new political and social forces develop in the society like the movement for the rights of the black people in America, elites and their political supporters first try to suppress them and if they can’t suppress them then they co-opt them and give them a share of the resources. This struggle between the elites and the masses is so obvious and so widespread in democratic societies that the German thinker Karl Marx actually proposed a framework for human progress based on this struggle. Marx proposed that human societies progress not based on ideas but because of a class struggle between elites and the common people. And hence arose the destructive ideology of communism which was a reaction to liberal democracy or capitalism. For democracy was is and always will be a system of the elites.

This is what happened in Karachi. The people of Karachi had a choice to make. They need access to state resources. Despite being aware of the crimes of MQM, they preferred their past experience with the party over someone new. They had a choice to make. To tolerate MQM and its crimes and also get access to state resources or try someone new and maybe even lose the access they already have to state resources. So they did what democracy teaches them. To compromise. After all democracy is not about right and wrong. It is about getting your way through becoming a majority or a pressure group.

Democracy in Pakistan is like other democracies the world over. The elites control it. In the Pakistani political system, the “electable” is a member of the elite. He promises access to state resources in exchange for political support. The so called “new face” in Pakistan’s democracy, the PTI, is only a different group or faction of the elite. So the choice in elections, really isn’t any choice. It’s a choice between different elite grouping for access to state’s resources. Islam has a radically different view towards this problem. The distribution of resources among the masses is not dictated by the elite. The resources are distributed in the society according to the divine law. In Islam the rights and duties of the people and the rulers are predefined by Shariah. The Khaleefah only ensures those rights are properly implemented. This radically changes politics in Islam. Politics changes from a way of getting

access to resources, to ensuring that divine law is well understood and properly implemented. For the proper implementation of divine law would ensure just distribution of resources.

In Karachi, it is not the masses who are at fault. It’s the system; democracy. Let’s direct the blame where it is deserved and work for what is right. Uproot Democracy, Establish Khilafah upon the method of the Prophethood.

The Blessed Revolution of Syria Forces the Rulers to Steady their Shaking Thrones

After initial ambiguity, the Pakistan government confirmed on 16 December its participation in a Saudi-led military alliance for ‘fighting terrorism.’ “Pakistan… is awaiting further details to decide the extent of its participation in different activities of the alliance,” a statement issued by the Foreign Office said. The traitors in the military had started in October to enhance support to the Saudi regime by training Saudi special forces personnel. Chief of Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif visited Saudi Arabia after the special exercises for discussions on counter-terrorism efforts. The United States on 16 December warmly welcomed the new coalition as an addition weapon to yield against the Muslims. US State Department spokesman John Kirby said at a news briefing, “We welcome, as we have welcomed, any intensification of the effort against ISIL (the militant Islamic State group) in the region, as well as against other terrorist networks. Any effort to increase pressure on those networks is a welcome effort.”

As the Muslims of Syria remain firm on their commitment to return Islam to authority and ruling, their resolve has shaken the Western capitals as well as their agents in the Muslim World. The shadowy ISIL, which has noticeably preferred to attack the sincere revolutionaries rather than the tyrant Assad, is being used as an excuse to prevent Syria’s blessed revolution from reaching its natural conclusion, a Khilafah state upon the method of the Prophethood.

RasulAllah ﷺ warned the Muslims,

“The Last Hour would not come until the Romans would land at al-A’maq or in Dabiq (Dabiq is a town near Aleppo). An army consisting of the best (soldiers) of the people of the earth at that time will come from the city (to counteract them). When they will arrange themselves in ranks, the Romans would say: “Do not stand between us and those (Muslims) who took prisoners from amongst us. Let us fight with them”; and the Muslims would say: “Nay, by Allah, we would never get aside from you and from our brethren, such that you may fight them.” They will then fight and a third (part) of the army would run away, whom Allah will never forgive. A third (part of the army) which would be constituted of the best of martyrs before Allah سبحانه وتعالى, would be killed and the third who would never be put to trial would be victorious….” [Sahih Muslim].

If those who run away from battle against the Romans in the blessed land of Sham will never be forgiven by Allah سبحانه وتعالى, what of those fighting the best of the soldiers of the people of the earth!?
