After the formation of consensus government, the President of the Palestinian Authority (PA), Mahmoud Abbas, was diligent to send a messages to reassure the international community, saying, “The government is committed to the principle of two states on the 1967 borders, as it is committed to the recognition of the state of Israel; it renounces violence and respects the signed agreements, including security coordination with Israel, as well as the decisions of the International Quartet.” (Middle East International Newspaper, 3/6/2014)
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Dr. Rami Alhamdulillah stressed during the first session of the Government of the National Reconciliation on the “government’s commitment to the political program of the PLO and to respect all the agreements signed between the Government of Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization.” (Ma’an News Agency 03/06/2014)
We in Hizb ut Tahrir have rejected and reject all actions of the PA and its successive governments in its surrendering and concession’s approach in the blessed land of Palestine and its sanctities, and offering the people of Palestine for grabs to the Jewish occupation to prosecute them severely through the security coordination the “sacred”, according to the statements made by the head of the PA, and we emphasize the following:
The PLO and its offshoot the PA hijacked the issue of Palestine and dominated it through international complicity and that of the systems of injustice in the Islamic world, especially the League of Betrayal “the Arab League,”. The PLO and the PA have forsaken most of Palestine to the Jewish entity and maintained their security in accordance with the agreements signed with the occupying entity.
The successive governments formed by the PA since its inception have followed the PLO’s and PA’s concessions approach, and the recent consensus Government is following the same approach. This was confirmed by statements made by the head of the PA and the head of government. The burden of the crime falls on both authorities and all who gave them support or kept silent.
Events and political statements by all parties have shown and that what happened between the authority of Fatah and Hamas have nothing to do with conciliation and reconciliation, but it is subject to the dictates of the major powers and regional countries, particularly the state of Sisi, in order to strengthen the PLO and the PA and enable them to eliminate the issue of Palestine for the benefit of the Jewish occupation and American interests in the region, in return for a fragile entity of the PA which is subject to the authority of the occupation and domination of Western and American, in return for contaminated funds that some Palestinian factions receive to maintain its affiliates.
We conclude this statement by asserting that Allah will account all who have forsaken the Blessed Land and bargained with it, and this land will not be an abode for the Jewish entity and it will be liberated, Allah willing. The work, agreement, and consensus must be for its liberation and in order to uproot the Jewish entity from it; and not for the partnership to waive the Blessed Land. One of the greatest sins is the recognition of the Jewish entity or provides legitimacy and cover to those who give legitimacy to the Jewish entity. The consequences of this agreement and consensus will reflect a severe injustice and hardship on the people of Palestine, led by parties that have agreed to this evil, and then remorse in this world and the Hereafter will be of no benefit.
إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ لِتَحْكُمَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ بِمَا أَرَاكَ اللَّهُ وَلَا تَكُنْ لِلْخَائِنِينَ خَصِيمًا
“We have sent down the Book to you with the truth so that you can judge between people according to what Allah has shown to you. But do not be an advocate for the treacherous.”
(An-Nisa’: 105)
