And they do not seek vengeance against him except that he says my Rabb (Lord) is Allah, working for the resumption of the Islamic life within the life’s reality once again, refusing humiliation and submissiveness, ordering the Ma’roof (right) and forbidding the Munkar (wrong), awakening the concerns of his people, his clan and the sons of his Ummah, proclaiming the truth and not fearing the blame and reproach of the blamers in Allah’s way, not selling his hereafter for someone else’s Dunyaa as the administration of the prison in which he is languishing has done, and not even selling his hereafter for his own Dunyaa. And so the prison administration is acting like a lion, flexing its muscles and exploiting its authority, by preventing visits from even those who are his relatives and by putting him in a filthy solitary confinement filled with impurity. That is in spite of the illness of our Brother Umar Falih At-Tal, his elderly age, his good and mild manners and his elevated thoughts and conduct.
By Allah, those who are deserving of pity are those official in the prison administration due to their ill-treatment of this elderly Sheikh and the harm they are inflicting upon him. They have placed themselves amongst those whom Allah Ta’Aalaa has described with His Speech:
وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْذُونَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِغَيْرِ مَا اكْتَسَبُوا فَقَدِ احْتَمَلُوا بُهْتَانًا وَإِثْمًا مُبِينًا
“And those who harm believing men and believing women for [something] other than what they earned (deserved) have certainly born upon themselves a crime of slander and a manifest sin”
(Al-Ahzaab: 58)
And they are bringing the war of Allah upon themselves dues to what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said when he related from his Rabb (lord) Subhaanahu:
“Whoever is hostile against a Wali of mine then I have declared war against him”.
And your rank will never avail you anything before Allah and Allah will never accept from you any excuse:
وَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا إِنَّا أَطَعْنَا سَادَتَنَا وَكُبَرَاءَنَا فَأَضَلُّونَا السَّبِيلَا * رَبَّنَا آَتِهِمْ ضِعْفَيْنِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ وَالْعَنْهُمْ لَعْنًا كَبِيرًا
“And they will say: “Our Lord, indeed we obeyed our masters and our dignitaries and they led us astray from the [right] path. Our Lord, give them double the punishment and curse them with a great curse”
(Al-Ahzaab: 67-68)
The loved ones and relatives of Brother Umar Falih At-Tal had already presented a complaint about his mistreatment to the National Centre for Human Rights and to the prisons’ administration in the Public Security Department but no change took place in respect to their treatment of him within the prison. This is to make it clear to the people that the claims of the regime regarding the dignity of the son of Jordan being a red line is only a slogan that was used under the circumstances of the Arab Spring and that they do not have any real existence in the regime’s policy towards the people. It is to throw sand in the eyes, divert them and for media consumption.
