Comment: Joint Arab Military Force

News:

Arab leaders have agreed to form a joint military force, the Egyptian president, Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, announced on Sunday, March 29, on the second and final day of the Arab League Summit. “The Arab leaders have decided to agree on the principle of a joint Arab military force,” Sisi said.

The decision was primarily aimed at fighting jihadis who have overrun swaths of Iraq and Syria and won a foothold in Libya, the Arab League Chief, Nabil al-Arabi, said. Arabi told the meeting on Sunday that the region was threatened by a destructive force that threatened “ethnic and religious diversity”, an apparent reference to Islamic State.

Egyptian military and security officials have said the proposed force announced on Sunday would be made of up to 40,000 elite troops based in either Cairo or Riyadh. It would be backed by fighter jets, warships and light armour.

It is unlikely, however, that all 22-member countries of the often-fractious Arab League will join the proposed force. Its creation has been a longtime goal that has eluded Arab states in the 65 years since they signed a rarely used joint defense agreement. (Source: The Guardian)

Comment:

Since the destruction of the Khilafah, the Arab countries have been conveniently divided into areas that are controlled so resources and strategic advantage can be utilized for the interests of the West. The Arab League, OIC and all other platforms are weak and obvious tools in the Western agenda for the region. Now the latest plan to unite under the pretext of fighting the Islamic State is another blatant treachery.

How many Muslims have died in wars in this region? How many have been victims of the bombings, killings and harassment of the state of Israel? How has the Arab League not seen the ruthless 4-year conflict in Syria? Nothing has united the Arab League for the sake of the Ummah, only the threat to their thrones leads to the Arab rulers proposing to set up a joint military force!

The treachery and selfishness is no longer a shock but the effect of this united force can only lead to further conflict, in-fighting and chaos in the region. The armies of the Muslim countries are being used as fodder for the American plan, which is to contain any real threat of political change and is using the so called “Islamic State” as a bogey man to demonize political Islam and counter sincere groups working for real change. America cannot afford to send its own troops to save its interests and will be happy to see its agents, who worship and bow to their master doing all the dirty work.

Abu Bakrah ath-Thaqafi (may Allah be pleased with him) reported – The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said,

«إِذَا الْتَقَى الْمُسْلِمَانِ بِسَيْفَيْهِمَا فَالْقَاتِلُ وَالْمَقْتُولُ فِي النَّارِ»‏‏.‏ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَذَا الْقَاتِلُ، فَمَا بَالُ الْمَقْتُولِ؟ قَالَ: «إِنَّهُ كَانَ حَرِيصًا عَلَى قَتْلِ صَاحِبِهِ»

“If two Muslims meet each other with their swords, then both the killer and the killed will be in the Hell-fire.” I said, “O Allah’s Messenger, that is the case for the killer but why should that be the case for the killed?” He answered, “Because he wanted to kill his companion.” [Bukhari & Muslim]

Islam alone has the ability to unite the people and serve the interests of the whole Ummah. Unlike capitalism where nation states look after their own interests and only unite where there is a perceived benefit, Islam obliges the Muslim ruler to serve and unite the Ummah through times of war and peace. The Islamic army will not act as a tool for any other nation but will be at the forefront of protecting the Khilafah State and propagating Islam to the rest of the world – a noble mission set by Allah سبحانه وتعالى.

“The Unbelievers are protectors, one of another: Unless you do this, (protect each other), there would be fitna on earth, and great mischief.”

(Al-Anfal, 8:73)
