The Jordanian security forces responsible for the Zatari camp prevented all of the delegations of people who had responded positively to the invitation of Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah of Jordan to visit their brothers and people in the Zatari camp, using the excuse that they had received higher up instructions to prevent visits to the Zatari camp, and particularly from the people of Jordan. The assigned security forces insisted upon preventing visitors from the Jordanian people to enter the camp in spite of repeated attempts to request permission to enter and in spite of the long distances travelled by the delegations to visit their brothers and their people, those who had been displaced from amongst the people of Shaam. These delegations had come from Amman, Zarqaa, Rusaifeh and Irbid. This all confirms the detention and imprisonment of our people and brothers/sisters from the displaced people of Shaam within the Zatari camp through higher up decisions which aim to humiliate the people of Shaam, break their will, bargain with their suffering and broker with their dignity and honour, in addition to aiming at killing the generosity, sense of honour and decency of the people of Jordan which they are known for and represents their most distinguishing attribute.
In the face of this painful reality of our people in the Zatari camp and in the face of the measures of the oppressor against them, we call upon the honourable people of Jordan to take to task the regime in respect to its oppression of their people and brothers from the people of Shaam in the Zatari military camp of arrest and humiliation.
«الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ لَا يَظْلِمُهُ وَلَا يُسْلِمُهُ»
“The Muslim is the brother of the Muslim, he does not oppress him and he does not hand him over (to an oppressor) …”
We in Hizb ut Tahrir, in the face of this oppression and subjugation, that the great Islamic Ummah is living through in Sham and elsewhere in the Muslim lands, we renew our covenant with Allah سبحانه وتعالى to expend our utmost efforts and energies so that Shaam returns once again to being central homeland of Islam (‘Uqr Dar ul-Islam) under the shade of the Khilafah (caliphate) upon the methodology of the Prophethood, and the authority and force of the rulers will not deter us from that.
وَسَيَعْلَمُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَيَّ مُنقَلَبٍ يَنقَلِبُونَ
“And those who have oppressed will know to which destination they will be returned”
(Ash-Shu’araa 227)
