During his meeting with the US Deputy Secretary of State, John Negroponte, the Prime Minister, Yusuf Raza Gillani, announced that the Parliament will announce its strategy with regards to the War on Terror, because it is sovereign. The question that arises is that if the parliament makes the decision to co-operate with America in the killing of Muslims, does that make such murder permitted? In reality, co-operating with kuffar to murder Muslims is definitely haram, as is made clear by Allah (swt) and His Messenger (saw). We condemn the Prime Minister for his claim that for every Muslim the divine Shariah is Sovereign and not any person or representatives. And this is the fundamental disagreement between Islam's system of ruling, Khilafah, and democracy.
Moreover, the meeting between the US Deputy Secretary of State, shows how much the new government will resist the American dictation. The people must demand from the politicians to deny any close door meetings to the American officials and say in plain words that America is not allowed to have any say in the affairs of Pakistan. The time has come for us to liberate ourselves from the existing democratic system, which gives the ruling according to human whims and desires preference over the rules from Allah, thereby enslaving us by introducing colonialist interests in legislation. Only the Khilafah can liberate us from such slavery since neither the Khaleefah nor the elected representatives’ share in sovereignty with the Shariah of Allah (swt). The Khaleefah is bound to implement the laws of Allah thereby closing the doors to colonialist domination over our affairs.
