Thousands of demonstrators marched through the Gaza-Egypt border town of Rafah in a demonstration organised by Hizb ut-Tahrir Palestine last Friday [25 April 2008]. Demonstrators demanded the destruction of the colonial border which the Egyptian government uses to uphold Israel’s brutal strangulation of Gaza and the suffering of its people. They also called for the re-unification of the Islamic lands and the re-establishment of the Khilafah ruling system in the Muslim world as the way to overcome the boycott and liberate Palestine.
