On the day of Jumu’a, 28th of Rajab 1429 Hijri, corresponding to Friday 1st August 2008, Hizb ut-Tahrir Malaysia held events at mosques across Malaysia to commemorate the destruction of the

Caliphate on the 28th of Rajab 1342 Hijri corresponding to the 3rd of March 1924.

Events took place at Masjid Seberang Jaya, Kedah, Masjid Subang Airport, Masjid Sg Abong, Muar, Masjid Bandar Baru UDA, JB and Masjid al-Mohsinin, JB, amongst others. Activists distributed a leaflet from Hizb ut-Tahrir Malaysia reminding people of the calamity of the destruction of the Caliphate, explaining the Islamic evidences pertaining to the obligation of the Caliphate and calling on people to join Hizb ut-Tahrir’s global work to re-establish the Caliphate.
