Bakhchisaray, Ukraine – Mumine Saliyeva cannot forget how masked, gun-toting pro-Russian security officers pounded on her door last October. They arrived to search her apartment and arrest her husband, Seiran Saliyev.

“Every day, I check a hundred times whether the door is locked, I get up at night to check, check again before my morning prayer,” the fine-featured 32-year-old woman in a white headscarf told Al Jazeera. “The echo of that knock is still in my ears; I can’t do anything about it.” (Source: Al Jazeera)

All over the world, Muslims are being persecuted. We must not forget our brothers and sisters in Crimea. It’s clear, the Muslims in Crimea are not able to defend themselves or their land. Just like the Muslims in Turkistan, Palestine, Syria, Kashmir, Myanmar and elsewhere all around the world.

Divided we are not able to defend ourselves neither politically nor physically. Without the protection of the Islamic Daulah (State), the Kuffar take the wealth of our lands, persecute and massacre our Ummah at will. To keep us divided, they have redefined our purpose in life. No matter how rich and how many our so called Muslim governments number (one for each race / tribe), they have us chasing economic ‘progress’ and material gain. We are kept apart by the ‘benefits’ of towing the line, playing by their rules, looking the other way when they violate our lands and Ummah. Despite the cry and pain of the Ummah, Governments of Muslim countries deal with Russia, China and the West in general. In the worst case, they even befriend and cooperate with the enemies of the Islamic Ummah, like Israel.

They injected us with the falsehood of nationalism, then materially took our lands by deception and force. They keep us economically subjugated, politically divided, intellectually brow-beaten. They pat us on our heads when we emulate and show how much we are ‘just like them’.  They keep us on side, by being so imbedded in their way of life, their world view. We are deaf to the suffering and pleas of our mothers, fathers and children in these Muslim lands. Blinded and choking on the sufferings and struggles of our daily life under the taghut of capitalism.

There has even been Da’ish, a horrible caricature of the orientalist’s worse possible bigoted stereo-typed cliche of an ‘Islamic State’ pastiched together to distract the sincere believers who would otherwise have defeated the butcher Bashar in weeks. Instead of fighting the Mujahideen who were working sincerely to implement Islam.

With Turkey being nearby, the Muslims in Crimea may suffer slow execution as Russia wouldn’t want to do anything too drastic so as to compel Turkish leadership to faux action. As we have seen in Syria, Turkey upholds Western rules. It does not intervene in Syria to save the Muslims for the sake of Islam. She only intervenes directly, if Turkish sovereignty is threatened. And so neither Turkey nor any other ‘Western secular political construct’ called Muslim ‘countries’ will save this Ummah. No matter how long the Ummah begs them.

The answer has always only ever been with Islam. Never has mankind, been truly liberated, secure at peace and elevated, except under the civilisation of Islam. The kuffar only see their guaranteed wealth being in keeping the Islamic Ummah divided and suppressed, we see an Ummah united once more, strong and safe under Islam. How we get there, has already been shown by Muhammad ﷺ, during his 13 years in Makkah and subsequent Islamic Daulah in Madinah. Rasulullah ﷺ implemented Islam over the ruins of falsehood and ignorance. That is his ﷺ sunnah.

Islam as a system of life, does not exist today. It is our duty to implement Islam we are all accountable and so must understand the method of Rasulullah ﷺ and work towards the re-implementation of Islam.
