On Saturday 1st Rajab 1434 (11/05/13) Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah of Egypt convened an economic seminar in the premises of the ‘Lawyers Association’ under the title: ‘The economic crisis of Egypt, the roots, causes and the solution’.

The seminar began with the recitation of verses of the Quraan Al-Kareem which was followed by the showing of a video prepared by the Hizb for the seminar which highlighted the roots of the crisis and its main causes which lie in the application of the capitalist economic system which is the root of the suffering and its potent disease.

This was then followed by a welcoming address from the founding deputy of the Hizb in Egypt, Ustaadh Muhammad Abdul Qawwiy.

In the first speech Sharif Zayed the head of the Media Office of the Hizb in Egypt discussed the causes of the economic crisis in Egypt and he highlighted the fallacy of the solutions that have been presented by those currently in the ruling regime in Egypt. This was followed by the second speech given by engineer ‘Alaa Ad-Deen Az-Zanaati the head of the Hizb’s communications committee, in which he highlighted the huge wealth of natural resources which is sufficient to fulfil all the needs and more if it was utilised correctly. This was then followed by the last speech delivered by Ustaadh Hisham Abdul ‘Aatiy who explained that the Islamic Khilafah State is the only capable entity that can revive Egypt and all Muslim lands in all fields and areas including the economic one. He then gave a presentation detailing the Islamic economic system which if applied within the Khilafah State, would deal with all of the crises and would return the Ummah to its natural and rightful position that Allah سبحانه وتعالى had chosen for her, the best Ummah raised up from mankind.

Finally the speakers answered the questions of those attending and heard comments which established goodness for the Hizb and its Da’wah, through which practical solutions were presented which need to be presented to the Ummah so that she can escape from servitude to the disbelieving west and its rotten economic system and move on to a state of elevation and the correct revival.

وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْقُرَىٰ آمَنُوا وَاتَّقَوْا لَفَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ بَرَكَاتٍ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَٰكِنْ كَذَّبُوا فَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ

“If only the people of the cities had had iman and taqwa, We would have opened up to them blessings from heaven and earth. But they denied the truth so We seized them for what they earned.”

(Al-A’araaf, 7:96)
