Greek Statues in the Land of the Muslims!?

On the verge of the consistent demands of the several Islamist platforms including Hefazat-e-Islam for the removal of a sculpture installed on the Supreme Court (SC) premise of Dhaka, Bangladesh, the current Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said the statue of the Lady Justice in front of the SC should be put in a different spot inside the court premised to be kept out of the view of those taking part in prayers at the Eidgah. Hefazat had earlier declared it would take to streets against the government if the government did not concede to its demand to remove the statue since it is close to the Eidgah – where prayers are offered in two Eids, the biggest Muslim festival. A group of religious leaders including those from Hefazat raised the demand when meeting Hasina at the Ganabhaban on last December. In that meeting, the PM said of the statue, “I do not like it myself. It’s being called a Greek statue, but how did a Greek statue get here?” she also asked why the statue was clad in a sari, a cabinet member told the reporters. (Source: dhakatribune.com)

Comment:

In recent times, under the secular regime of Sheikh Hasina, secularizing every sector of Bangladesh has got a new momentum. The government and its hardcore secular and leftist ministers along with the so called intellectual group of the country have been working tirelessly to detach the mass population of this Muslim populated country from any kind of Islamic belief, culture and its history and promote secular ideas, values and thoughts through their controlled media. Erecting and placing of a Greek “idol” in front of the significant place like the Supreme Court building is just one of the countless example of it.

The demand that was raised from several Islamic platforms of the statue is absolutely fine as making and displaying “idol” is haram in Islam and also, according to the tenets of Islam, a Greek mythological idol named “Themis” can never be an icon of justice and fairness for the Muslims. Also as per the statement of Hefazat Chief Mawlana Shafi, it is nothing but the “ideological aggression” in Bangladesh “in the name of secularism”. But, here the point to be pondered that, isn’t it natural and expected that a secular regime which strongly believes in secular values will want to secularize the country and eradicate even a single trace of Islam from the society which they think as a threat to their secular ideology? Isn’t it natural that the secular regime of Hasina will impose secular values on the Muslims of the country to protect their own false ideology which they borrowed from their western masters?

The government’s recent move of further secularizing the education sector of the country by removing all the texts related to Islam and Islamic history from children’s text books, adding new texts related to Hindu belief and culture, promoting Bengali New Year festival throughout the country which stems from Hindu religion, instructing all the educational institutions to celebrate this festival and also to organize Mangal Shovha Jatra from every educational on the day of Bengali New Year (which is very similar to pagan procession holding paper made idols), shutting down number of Islamic English medium schools throughout the country and also closing down Hifz and Arabic language program from several schools – have clearly showed us how desperate this government is to secularize the country. In fact, during the meeting with those Islamic leaders, by saying that she also did not like the idea of placing that Greek idol, Hasina has cleverly tackled the issue to avoid instigating Islamic sentiments of the mass people of the country.

But through her various actions she has already proved that, she does not only love the ideology of the idol worshippers, but also ready to accept the authority of the Mushrikeen over the Muslims of Bangladesh. In her recent visit to India, Hasina has signed a military co-operation treaty with the Mushrik state India which is the clear violation of the Shariah law and an absolute threat to the sovereignty of the country. Additionally, through staged terrorist attacks in different parts of the country her government has been deliberately spreading fear and hatred towards Islam among the people of Bangladesh to prevent the establishment of the second Khilafah Rashidah in this country. The truth is, to please her colonial masters Hasina’s subservient government has declared war against Islam and the sincere Muslims of the country.

Hence, any sincere Islamic political party who really wants to see the victory of Islam and also wants to stop all kinds of ideological attack against Islam and Muslims in the country under the banner of secularism should not be deceived by the false promises of the rulers. Because, these very rulers are the key players in the Muslim world, who are working tirelessly to secularize the Ummah to please their western masters. Therefore, all the Islamic political parties and the prominent scholars of Bangladesh should reject these puppet rulers and the manmade secular system of the West, and should respond to the call of Allah (swt) and RasulAllah ﷺ to establish His Deen by establishing the second Khilafah Rashidah in this country, which will destroy all the conspiracies against Islam and Muslims of Bangladesh and also eradicate the single trace of secular ideology from each and every corner of the Muslim world, In-Sha-Allah. Allah (swt) says in the Quran,

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ اسْتَجِيبُواْ لِلّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُم لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ

“O you who believe! Answer Allah and (His) Messenger when he calls you to that which will give you life.”

(Surah Anfal: 24)
