In September 2015, the government has arranged two regional conferences in Kabul, Regional Economic Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA-VI) and Senior Officials Meeting (SOM), in which high level officials participated. In SOM Conference, the participants analyzed their previous assistance with the Afghan government and declared the progress so far as satisfactory.

After the end, the Minister of Finance, in a press conference said, “These conferences were test cases for the accomplishments of the Unity government, and we came out of it as successful”. The Chief Executive also expressed his happiness from the SOM Conference as success. In addition, many docile media channels also displayed it as an achievement of the government and considered it as an innovative step taken by the government to arrange such conferences.

It is ironic to see the colonialist declaring the 10 months performance of the “National Unity Government” as satisfactory, especially at a time when the people of Afghanistan are witnessing the ever growing lawlessness, insecurity, economic turmoil, unemployment, poverty, inflation and sky rocketing corruption, as well as the ever increase of abhorrence against the puppet Afghan regime. As per the recent survey published by ITR, 80% of the people are not happy with the performance of the “National Unity Government”, yet the government by organizing such futile events wants to deceive people and hide their failure. The mere arrangement of these conferences are projected as success of the policies of the government. The “National Unity Government” also want to show to their masters the ability of misleading their own people and the ability to implement the colonial agendas of their masters. To reciprocate, the colonialist regimes are trying to demonstrate to the people that Afghan government is on the right track, so that they don’t lose the little standing they have.

Organizing such conferences are nothing but tools of deceiving people as no change has ever been witnessed in the lives of people of Afghanistan through such events, rather these are being used  by the colonialists to further their malicious agendas in Afghanistan and in the region. This conference once again proved that the “National Unity government” is only interested in implementing the agenda of their masters and are working for them as slaves without thinking about the wellbeing of the people of Afghanistan.
