Free Engineer Zeeshan, Arrested 5 December 2014

End Persecution of Hizb ut Tahrir

As part of a series highlighting the personalities of Hizb ut Tahrir who are being persecuted by the regime, we present the case of Engineer Zeeshan.

Engineer Zeeshan is now 38 years old, married with four children, and a textile engineer. He was arrested with eleven others on Friday 5 December 2014 during a raid upon an Islamic study circle in Gulberg Lahore.

Engineer Zeeshan is an alumnus of the prestigious Aitchison College before graduating from National Textile University, Faisalabad.

Engineer Zeeshan is a prominent and articulate speaker who has worked tirelessly for the re-establishment of the Khilafah (Caliphate) upon the methodology of the Prophethood. He was imprisoned for over a year without any trial starting or bail being granted. When after postponing the hearing dates for three whole months, the bench sought evidence from the prosecutors for the allegations against the accused, literature of Hizb ut Tahrir was forwarded. However, the bench rejected the bail application without even examining any of the presented literature! All of Hizb’s literature, which discusses and presents the Islamic Aqeedah and systems of life, is based solely on the Qur’an and Sunnah!
