The spark of competition between the Muslims of Afghanistan and Pakistan at a cricket match on 29 June 2019, rapidly ignited fires of hatred, including clamoring for the immediate expulsion of Afghani, Pashtun immigrants. The seeds of the ugly hatred were planted by rulers of Muslims through their alliance with the enemies of Muslims. On the one hand, in 2001, the rulers of Pakistan held fast to alliance with the American crusaders and fully supported them in turning the clear blue skies of Afghanistan into terrifying ceilings of fire and death, with no respite even during the month of Ramadhan. Moreover, it was this alliance that enabled Washington to install a pro-Indian regime in Kabul. On the other hand, the rulers of Afghanistan hold fast to alliance with the Hindu State, allowing them to defile the blessed lands of Khurasan with India’s RAW intelligence, which incites attacks on the Pakistan Army in Baluchistan and the tribal regions. Yet, not so long ago, it was the Islamic brotherhood between the lions of Pakistan’s ISI and the Pashtun tribal fighters on both sides of the Pak-Afghan border, the colonialist Durand Line, that struck the invading Soviet Russians with such force, that they never dared to return. However, now, when the US invaders are begging the Afghan Taliban for a deal to stay in Afghanistan, the fires of nationalist rivalry are ignited, strengthening the enemy through division.
O Muslims of Pakistan!
Whilst the rulers of Muslims warm ties with the Hindu State through “normalization”, they allow the inciting of nationalist hatred between the Muslims of Afghanistan and Pakistan. We must reject divisive nationalism that weakens us before our actual enemies. RasulAllah ﷺ said, «لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ دَعَا إِلَى عَصَبِيَّةٍ وَلَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ قَاتَلَ عَلَى عَصَبِيَّةٍ وَلَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ مَاتَ عَلَى عَصَبِيَّةٍ» “He who summons others to nationalism does not belong to us; and he who dies upholding party spirit does not belong to us.” [Abu Daud]. And we must strive for the re-establishment of the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood that will finally end our burning in the fires of Fitnah, by unifying our noble Ummah practically as one state, in one row against our enemies. Allah (swt) said, وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِحَبْلِ اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا وَلَا تَفَرَّقُوا ۚ وَاذْكُرُوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ كُنتُمْ أَعْدَاءً فَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُم بِنِعْمَتِهِ إِخْوَانًا وَكُنتُمْ عَلَىٰ شَفَا حُفْرَةٍ مِّنَ النَّارِ فَأَنقَذَكُم مِّنْهَا “And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you – when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it.” [Surah Aali Imran 3:103]
