Zaid bin Arqam رضي الله عنه narrated that the companions of the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم asked, “Oh Messenger of Allah, what is this sacrifice?”

He صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “It is the way of your forefather Ibrahim.”

They said, “What is for us therein, Oh Messenger of Allah?”

He صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “There is one reward for every hair.”

They said, “For wool, Oh Messenger of Allah?”

He صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “There is one reward for every strand of wool!”
