Neglecting the Accountability of Rulers

Since the Peshawar tragedy where more than 130 school children were killed on 16th December 2014, the government has announced stern actions. It has made severe changes in legislation including the amendment to the Army Act while turning a blind eye to the increasing American footprint in the region. Thus, the regime has callously exploited the anger of the public over the tragedy to further the American “war on terror” by bombarding the areas inhabited by mujahedeen fighting in Afghanistan. It is also making laws to curb support enjoyed by Afghan Mujahideen in the past. Not only this, the regime has taken all the steps it can to obstruct the call to Islam and the system of life that emanates from it. It is spreading fear amongst the people through arresting men, and even a woman with a child, without any discrimination.

Only the Khilafah Will Protect the Non-Muslims in Muslim Lands

Fourteen people were killed and more than 70 injured when two suicide bombers attacked churches in Lahore on 15 March, sparking mob violence in which two other suspected militants died. Up to 4,000 Christians later took to the streets of Lahore, many armed with clubs as they smashed vehicles and attacked a city bus station in a rare show of anger. The bombings occurred during prayers at two churches located around half a kilometre apart in the city’s Youhanabad neighbourhood that is home to more than 100,000 Christians, officials said. Yet, again the regime has failed in its responsibility because it allows the Raymond Davis network to function on our soil, American spies who plan and buy assassins to create chaos within Pakistan. It failed, as it did not evict the hostile foreign personnel from our soil, whether it is intelligence, private military or diplomatic staff.

Democracy is Corrupt Because Men Make Laws

Post Senate elections, over a lunch meeting of 10 March with the heads of major political parties, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif endorsed Monday night’s nomination by opposition parties of PPP leader Raza Rabbani as the new Chairman of the Senate. However, the people were absolutely disgusted with the news about money playing a large role in the recent Senate polls in Pakistan, then a bit of perspective and history would help channel the disgust towards the right target. This is not about corrupt politicians or corrupt parties. This is about democracy. And this is evident in Lincoln’s attempt to pass the 13th Amendment. On 18th December 1865, then US Secretary of State William Seward announced the adoption of the 13th Amendment which was aimed at ending slavery in the US (which practically continued for more than a century afterwards). Initially the US House of Representatives failed to pass the amendment falling 13 votes short of the two-thirds majority required for adopting the amendment. President Abraham Lincoln instructed Secretary of State Seward to secure the required number of votes by whatever means possible. Seward was given a large fund for direct bribes. He also promised government posts and campaign funds to multiple lawmakers to “win them over” to support the amendment.

The Rise and Fall of any Nation is because of their Ideology

9th March 2015: “The ‘Dying Russian Nation’ Is Not Unique” (Source : Forbes)

Among elite pundits, it is received wisdom that Russia is a “dying nation.” Everyone knows that Russia, ruled by a bloody and incompetent gang of thieves, is in a demographic “death spiral” which will inevitably send it into the abyss. Furthermore, elite pundits “know” that the only way this decline can be arrested is if Russia embarks on a path of democratic, liberal reform. After all, everyone knows that the other post-Communist countries that embraced free markets, democracy, and the rule of law have fared much better.

Horse-Trading Democracy

The PML-N and PTI have been shuttling between the Pakistani opposition parties, since the arrival of former President Zardari on 26 February. This shuttling is to get their consensus on the proposed 22nd Amendment that would force party members to vote for their party candidates and for the ballot to be done in an open manner rather than the secret ballot that has characterized past senate elections. The PPP and JUI-F have opposed the proposed amendment, whereas the MQM has championed it arguing that it would end horse-trading in the senate elections.

America’s Permanent Presence Must Be Met with Jihad by Armed Forces

President Barack Obama’s new Pentagon Chief said on 21 February the United States was seriously considering slowing the pace of troop withdrawal from Afghanistan, as the country faces a growing Taliban insurgency. US Defence Secretary Ashton Carter’s comments in Kabul offered the clearest sign yet that Washington was ready to delay the closure of some bases and retain more troops after appeals by Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and advice from commanders. “That could mean taking another look at the timing and sequencing of base closures to ensure we have the right array of coalition capabilities,” he said at a joint news conference with Mr Ghani.

Provincial Strife Will End under the Khilafah

Sources told Dawn that the provincial government has repeatedly reminded the centre that the 18th Amendment guarantees a 50/50 split of shares in oil and gas resources to the federal and provincial governments.”

Regime Boasts about Indicators that Reveal the Collapse of the Economy

Painting a rosy picture detailing “improvements” in the social and economic sectors, Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed claimed on 1 February that the PML-N government had rejuvenated the economy in the 17 months it had been in power. However, a journalist also drew the minister’s attention to the fact that prices of consumer items such as flour, vegetable ghee, sugar, rice and pulses had not decreased despite an unprecedented decline in petrol prices. Moreover, what the government boasting confirmed.

Ideological and Political Challenges Facing Muslims in Britain

Introduction

Nations and peoples prosper and progress or stagnate and decline on the basis of how they think. Throughout the history of mankind it is the nation with most coherent and clear thinking that emerges as the leader amongst nations. History testifies to this – the pagan Arabs taken from feuding each other to become the leading nation after the advent of Islam. Europe was taken from the Dark Ages to the Industrial Revolution after they laid a solution to the struggle between thinkers and the clergy – i.e. secularism. The United States in the current era has the most coherent ideological and political thinking amongst nations and as such is the leading state in the world.

Mother of Calamities

Calamities such as the brutal Peshawar attack are enough for a people to feel, think and mobilize towards preventing such calamities in the future. However, the Ummah has been made accustomed to such calamities that have been occurring regularly for many decades, in the absence of the Khilafah, without any sign of a strategy for prevention. Regular defiling of the honor of Muslim mothers and sisters, massacre of innocent children and elderly are written in the pages of history and perpetrated with the help of the very latest in technology. There is a black history of inhumanity and brutality, in which technology was designed specifically for this purpose and new methods of torture were discovered. Incidents like the destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki will remain a black spot on the face of humanity till the end of this world. The brutality of Russia in Chechnya and Serbia in Bosnia are vivid in memory. The horror of the prisons of Guantanamo, Abu Ghrayb and Bagram are known to the people. As is the evil violence by Buddhists against Muslims in Myanmar (Burma). The barrel bombs of Bashar al-Asad’s government unleash destruction upon the Muslims of Syria. Recent Muslim history is full of tragedies, Muslims are victims of extreme ruthlessness and violence, which can neither be excused nor forgotten.

As RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم is Insulted Flagrantly, Regime Allows Severe Petrol Crisis to Cripple the People’s Ability to Protest

As the petrol crisis in Pakistan deepened, with queues of hundreds of cars outside petrol pumps in Lahore, waiting for hours for rationed petrol, Nawaz Sharif suspended officials on 17 January. However, the cause and timing of the crisis is subject to suspicion. The regime’s debt to Pakistan State Oil has stood for several months. Land freight from the Karachi seaport has been ongoing, despite the severe fog. Moreover, the Dawn reported on 19 January, that oil imports have actually increased in recent months, stating “According to officials, total oil imports over the last three months of 2014 and the first 15 days of January stood at 797,200 tons, slightly higher than previous year’s 778,975 tons.” So what is going on? The answer is that in the wake of the re-publication of the cartoons insulting RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم by Charlie Hebdo Magazine, protests have erupted throughout the Muslim Lands, including war torn Syria. Fearing huge demonstrations in Pakistan, the regime yet again allowed a crisis to occur, effectively throwing the population into confusion, frustration and chaos.

By Banning Jihad Against America, Regime Itself is a Threat to the Integrity of Pakistan

On 3 January 2015, the regime released details of its draft constitutional amendment which cites that “whereas there exists grave and unprecedented threat to the integrity of Pakistan by the raising of arms and insurgency in name of religion.” The fact of the matter is that the Muslims of the tribal regions are focused on the Kuffar enemy occupying Afghanistan from the beginning of the American invasion. Yet, the regime at the behest of America, is declaring such Jihad, illegal.

Militarizing the Judiciary Reveals the Regime Lacks Authority in the Eyes of the People

The Supreme Court has been asked to reconsider its 1999 verdict in the Sheikh Liaquat Hussain case which declared military courts unconstitutional. In a petition filed before the apex court on 28 December, asking the court to empower the government to make laws or promulgate ordinances to establish military courts in order to help civil authorities curb terrorism and militancy. Pattern of “Do More” Followed by Barbaric Attacks

In the wake of the barbaric attack on a school in Peshawar, US State Department said on 19 December 2014 that Washington would welcome increased cooperation with Pakistan in the fight against terrorism. “We have been working closely with all levels of the Pakistan government,” the State Department’s spokesperson Jen Psaki told a briefing in Washington. As for the purpose of the working closely, in a Dawn interview published on 28 November, US Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Ambassador Feldman, when asked if General Raheel’s US visit achieved its goals said that, “We had very straightforward, constructive and honest discussions on the need to go after all terrorists, including the Haqqani Network, and to make sure that all terrorist safe havens are shut down.”

The US State Department warned American citizens in Pakistan on 10 December that the report on the CIA’s brutal interrogation techniques could cause retaliatory attacks. “US citizens in Pakistan should be aware that the release of declassified versions of the executive summary, findings, and conclusions of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence’s study on the CIA’s Rendition, Detention and Interrogation programme could prompt anti-US protests and violence against US interests, including private US citizens,” said a travel advisory issued by the State Department.

Regime Loses Its Mind in Addressing the Nearing Success of the Khilafah Project

Since the arrest of a number of activists of Hizb ut-Tahrir by government agencies on 5 December, the government has initiated a campaign of slander against Hizb ut-Tahrir, falsely claiming links with militancy. Electronic and print media has prominent regular reports about the arrests.

The regime’s slander is ridiculous as Hizb ut-Tahrir is now known throughout society, in all of its regions and levels. It is well-known that it undertakes the political and intellectual struggle and calls the people of Nussrah, the sincere within the armed forces, to give the Nussrah for the re-establishment of the Khilafah. Yet, the regime resorts to ridiculous slander as it does not have anything of truth to utter in defense its false and ever weakening position. Moreover, the Western masters of the regime sense the widespread acceptance of the Hizb and the Khilafah project throughout the Muslim World and are frustrated in their previous attempts of mobilizing the tyrants of the Muslim World to undertake a harsh campaign of abductions, torture and persecution against Hizb ut-Tahrir.

End the Colonialist Interference in Our Affairs by Establishing Khilafah

After the PTI Chief’s meeting with the US Ambassador on 22 November, debate has erupted amongst the people. Richard Olson is the representative of a colonialist power in Pakistan. Anyone from the political or military leadership who meets him would only strengthen colonialism in Pakistan because he would confirm US stake in Pakistan’s political process. The colonialist trap here is evident. The colonialists find excuses to interfere in our affairs through offers of “help” and “assistance” only to find ways and means to subjugate and control us. The only reason why Richard Olson would meet Imran Khan is to size him up for US service. The only reason Imran Khan would meet the US ambassador is that he knows that the corridor of power to Islamabad goes through Washington.

Q&A: Motives behind the Global Struggle

Question:

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakaatuhu

In the book Political Concepts, under the chapter “Motives Behind Global Struggle” on page 30 English version (page 54 Arabic version), the first line on the first paragraph mentions: “Since the dawn of history to the day of judgement, the motives of the nations for global struggle are either pride and the desire for sovereignty or the pursuance of material interests.” (Then on the same page on the paragraph before last, on line 15 of the Arabic version) Then it mentions on page 31 of the English version in the first full paragraph: “Colonialism in all its forms is the most dangerous materialistic motive of the global struggle.”
