Following the yearlong uprising which resulted in the election of US puppet Abdu-Rebu Mansour Hadi, the awareness of Khilafah has indeed increased in Yemen.
Before the uprising, Yemenis didn’t think that the establishment of a Khilafah would be reached in their lifetime; however, because of the unwavering efforts of Hizb ut-Tahrir, people now have realized that the Khilafah is just around the corner and that now is the time to join the call. As a result of Hizb ut-Tahrir’s method of calling to Islam which is based on the sunnah of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, more people have joined the group and the number of attendees at the conferences has increased dramatically.
A few weeks ago while one of the members was placing Khilafah posters in the inner city of Sana’a, a store owner saw the post which displayed the black and white flag of Khilafah and then offered to allow the poster to be placed in his store and even suggested that the shabab post them in the entire area. A few years back when some people used to see the Khilafah posters they would rip them off out of fear. Now that fear is no longer there and the true identity of the Yemeni people is starting to appear this is no longer the case.

In Hizb ut-Tahrir’s Khilafah conference a few weeks ago, one of the youth who attended got a chance to speak on stage during the question and answer session. The youth spoke with captivating emotion and mentioned that the youth protesters who took to the streets all year long to topple oppression, were betrayed in the end by political parties who only sought to reach power by any means. He added that the youth protesters are now joining in the call for Khilafah.
After the presidential election of Mohamed Mursi, many Yemenis, (mostly associated to the political party of “reform”) gathered in celebration across Yemen to congratulate the new Egyptian President. On the same day, members of Hizb ut-Tahrir passed out leaflets nationwide condemning Mohamed Mursi for ruling by other than Islam and for recognizing the state of Israel and for stating that he would allow women to wear whatever they please. A moderate Muslim who is in support of Mursi and a civil democratic state told one of the Shabab who was passing out the leaflets, “why don’t you give Mursi a chance, he just reached power?” The HT member replied very confidently and sharply, “By the one in whose hand my soul rest, we will never accept anyone who does not rule by Islam whoever it may be!”
The only people who are against the call for Khilafah now are the political parties who are allies of the west and who have basically sold Islam just to please their western friends who put them in power. It is these parties who the sincere Muslims of Yemen have condemned and have rejected. As the months advance, the plan of Allah سبحانه وتعالى seems to become clearer; it is almost as if Allah سبحانه وتعالى is distinguishing the true believers from the hypocrites.
The Khilafah awareness is now on the rise in Yemen due to the efforts of Hizb ut-Tahrir throughout the Yemeni revolution in exposing the ideas of a Civil State and a Democratic State which was a popular tune carried by the political parties throughout the year. Although a puppet President is now in power along with political parties who have abandoned the rule of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the establishment of a Khilafah seems closer now than ever before in Yemen and the rest of the Muslim lands.
Allah سبحانه وتعالى says in Surah al-Anfal, ayah 30:
وَيَمْكُرُونَ وَيَمْكُرُ اللّهُ وَاللّهُ خَيْرُ الْمَاكِرِينَ
“They plot and plan, and Allah too plans; but the best of planners is Allah.”
We ask Allah سبحانه وتعالى to rid the Ummah from these hypocrite rulers and to hasten the establishment of a Khilafah, and to strengthen the work of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Yemen and the rest of the Muslim world. Ameen.
