Afghan Bilateral Security Agreement is a means to mislead public opinion

Barack Obama has recently instructed US troops in Afghanistan to conduct military operations, giving increased authority to US troops in the battlefield, and allowing them to use greater military force including air power against Afghan Muslims during military operations.

Obama’s decision comes at a time when in early 2015, he announced that US military operations in Afghanistan had been over. Also, the Bilateral Security Agreement between Kabul and Washington has clearly stipulated an advisory technical support role for US forces in Afghanistan in addition for the provision of military supplies to Afghan security forces. Now, reneging on its promises and violating its agreements, America is increasing its military role in Afghanistan, showing that in an occupied country such as Afghanistan where the regime is installed by the occupiers, agreements have no meaning at all. Nor does the so called peace process has any true essence. These deceitful initiatives are mere means to mislead public opinion.

Hizb ut Tahrir believes that America is again increasing its military role in Afghanistan by giving greater operational authority to its forces. This is aimed at preparing grounds for the pursuit of its strategic (military and political) objectives in Afghanistan and the region. To justify its actions, America intentionally deteriorates the security situation.

To deceive public opinion in America, in Afghanistan and in the world, the US government announces a drawdown of its forces and changing their role from operational to advisory and technical support, and yet other times announces resumption of military role in conducting operations.
