The scientists of the Crimean Scientific Center – a branch of the Sh.Marjani Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan- began to create a five-volume fundamental history of the Crimean Tatars. This was told by Radik Salikhov, a deputy director of Science of the Tatarstan Institute.
“Now we are preparing one of the volumes of the publication, we expect that this year it will be ready for publication. For the successful implementation of this project the best scientific forces of the country have united. It is important to get a truly objective, verified work. Each page of this work should be strictly reasoned,”- said the speaker.
In addition, scientists are working on a multivolume series “The set of historical and cultural monuments of the Crimean Tatar people.” Three volumes of the publication have already been published. They are dedicated to the cities of Bakhchisarai and Simferopol. It is planned that this year the fourth volume, which tells about the monuments of the Old Crimea will be published.
“Our most important task is to show the objective history of the Crimean Tatar people in the context of the history of the Russian state. These unique publications are an example of successful regional scientific cooperation of Tatarstan and Crimea,”- emphasized Salikhov.
He also said that the annual scientific and practical conference was held in the Crimea and Tatarstan. This year it will take place, supposedly, in September. At the meeting, scientists will discuss the publication of historical books that are currently in development, and a number of other issues. “The main task is to consolidate the scientific forces around the solution of theoretical and applied tasks of studying the history and culture of the Crimean Tatars and peoples of Crimea,” the interlocutor added.
“Of course, for all of our country, this event has great historical significance. From all points of view: state, socio-economic, cultural, social, interethnic. The Crimea is an integral part of Russian history, stretching far back in time,” the speaker said.
It should be noted here that the use of Tatar-collaborators from among businessmen, political and public figures, scholars and clergy to resolve internal and foreign policy issues is a long-standing practice for Moscow. It has long been that Russian invaders sent the sellout religious figures from among the Tatars to induce the subordination of other Muslim peoples, such as the Caucasus.
As for the “Crimean Question”, in this case Tatarstan, officials were also used for the purposes of the Russian colonial policy. For example, the President of the Republic, Minnikhanov, took part in the Kurultai of the Crimean Tatar people in March 2014, at the moment when the Kremlin tried to persuade the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people to cooperate. In addition, on April 26, 2015, the delegation of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people met at the executive committee of the World Congress of Tatars. The meeting discussed the problem of integrating the Crimean Tatar people into the community of Russians, where the so-called “WCT scientists” offered their assistance in this sensitive issue. “… Now you are part of another state, we have become its part earlier than you and we know this state much better than you, because 200 years before you we’ve been adapting here … our help, your support will be very important …” – said then one of the members of the WCT.
In September 2018, Minnikhanov himself formulated the very essence of his mission in the Crimean direction in an interview with Expert Online: “… they must love the country in which they live now – Russia.”
These words fully reveal the real essence of the so-called “elite” in Tatarstan, which, under the beautiful slogans, leads the people to complete political and cultural integration with the colonizer to dissolve their religious identity and to complete enslavement and mankurtisation. It is these and similar people who have helped the Russians for centuries destroy our religion, will and honor; these very people are traitors to the nation!
