America uses Syrian Chemical Attack for its Own Objectives

According to the Washington Post on April 9:

President Trump vowed Monday that the United States would take swift action in retaliation for a suspected chemical weapons attack on civilians in Syria, amid hurried diplomacy that signaled allied military strikes may be imminent.

The Trump administration, backed by France and Britain, began making a circumstantial case that Syria and its Russian and Iranian partners bear direct responsibility for the weekend deaths of at least 49 people in the opposition-held town of Douma, outside the Syrian capital, Damascus.

“It was an atrocious attack. It was horrible,” Trump said at the start of a Cabinet meeting that was one of several White House gatherings Monday where possible military action was discussed.

Options include the sort of largely symbolic airstrike Trump ordered a year ago in response to a similar chemical attack blamed on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, or a wider and riskier assault.

“We are studying that situation extremely closely. We are meeting with our military and everybody else, and we’ll be making some major decisions over the next 24 to 48 hours,” Trump said.

“We are very concerned when a thing like that can happen,” the president said in a somber tone. “This is about humanity. We’re talking about humanity. And it can’t be allowed to happen.”

Comment:

The tyrannical regime of Bashar al-Assad, like the regime of his father before him, respects no limits in the pursuit of its total domination of Syria. In the latest phase of its brutal crushing of the revolution, the regime is pursuing a form of ideological cleansing of the population in Ghouta, directly targeting the civilian population to force their emigration from the region. Clearly, the speed of evacuation is not to their liking, and it is this that has led them to deploy chemical weapons to ensure immediate results.

The extent of war atrocities committed in our age exceeds that of previous ages. Wars are fought now not between professional armies observing ethical codes of conduct but are instead waged on civilian populations with no restrictions on the destruction to life and property. Yes, we learn in history of the bloodshed of the Mongols, for example. But these were the exceptions, and it is for this reason that the historical record has preserved such acts committed centuries ago. In this age, however, in which the world is dominated by Western civilization, such atrocities have become a mere commonplace, and news of the chemical weapons attack in Syria is just the latest addition to a whole series of many such previous news items, a story that is able to fill the pages of newspapers and the screens of televisions for a few days at most. And standing behind and directing the war in Syria is the world’s solitary superpower, the United States of America, the champion of Western civilization, whose President and Commander-in-Chief Donald Trump chooses to affect horror at acts that his own country has in fact sanctioned against the Muslim Ummah.

It is America that dominates the Muslim world at this time, and it is America that has the most to fear from the revolution in Syria. But still in shock after its struggles in directly occupying Iraq and Afghanistan, America has chosen a different approach to managing Syria, using the Russians and a whole list of Muslim countries and groups to fight the war on its behalf. Meanwhile America stands behind, supervising every aspect of the operations, determining who fights where, and controlling who takes what. It is therefore America that has decided that the areas around Damascus must be for Assad alone, and it is therefore America that allowed Assad to carry out his brutal terrorism of the Muslims of Syria.

So why is Donald Trump hypocritically condemning the chemical attack that his own Syrian policy has permitted? Simply because America seeks to maintain world public opinion against all the other elements in the Syrian theatre to keep them all in check. America may need to move at any time against any one of them and will certainly seek to limit them once their role is complete. Donald Trump cares least for the humanity that he referred to in his comments. It is an evil war that America wages and it is an evil duty that America’s agents undertake under American instructions. They have nothing but loss in both this world and the hereafter.

The West senses that its dominance of the world is drawing to a close. The West sought to use the notion of secularism to persuade people of religion to adopt a lifestyle stripped of spirituality and build a civilization imbued with the atheistic values of freedom and democracy. Devoid of spirituality, Western man has exceeded all limits against his fellow man in pursuit of his materialistic goals. But, with Allah’s permission, the world will soon witness the re-establishment of the righteous Khilafah (Caliphate) State that will implement Islam and carry its light to the entire world, manifesting a civilization built on spirituality and a lifestyle that accords fully with human nature.

Allah (swt) says:

“They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it.”

(61:8)
