Aoa, a really beneficial article/ However, there is some doubt regardig the reference number of fatawa rizwi. It is not volume 4 pg 568 rather it is vol 10 which deals with ramadan and the page number 572

as a nation the Muslims must be united. they must be united by their belief and the way to believe. the better sign of being united is maintaining a hizb and properly follow Allah's apostle.

A very focused discussion on a hot topic.

What would help would be citations for how ramadan and eid were celebrated by the muslims as one during the caliphate of the past. These could be from any historical accounts etc.

Please give the citation for the hadith on page 7 describing the moon of Shawal and the caravan. Is it also from Al-Mabsout by Imam Sarkhasi? Please tell how authentic a hadith in the collection of Imam Sarkhasi is?

Jzk

A good siimple book to explain a controversial issue with clarity. However, i think there is one apparent contradiction. Perhaps somone could comment, The book talks about verification coming from a muslim country. Surely the point of the book suggests that a MUSLIM needs to oonfirm it; even if he does not live in a muslim country. It implies that the testimony of a muslim living OUTSIDE a muslim country is unacceptable. This is wrong.
