The struggle for Khilafah in Yemen

E-mail Print PDF

Members of Islamic group Hizb-ut Tahrir Yemen were detained by pro-revolutionary forces after badly beaten up by members of Islah party for passing out leaflets condemning the upcoming presidential elections and calling to Islam.

Members of the group passed leaflets after Friday prayers in the Sixty Street of the capital Sana'a where members of the Islah Party join every Friday for prayers and revolutionary activities.

The leaflets which were passed by members of the group stated that the upcoming elections are forbidden in Islam and that Yemenis need to call for the establishment of Khilafah.

During detainment, a brave member of Hizb-ut-tahrir gave dawah to some of the officers who detained him, and told them that the Khilafah will rise no matter what, and that they should strive for it.

A day after members were released from detainment, they took the remaining leaflets which they had left and went to pass them out in one of the biggest masjids in Sana'a. The group was once again met with confrontations and was threatened by a posse of the Islah group.

According to members of the Hizb, the Islah Party have stepped up their brutality towards the shabab who are calling for Khilafah. During a dispute, one of the Islah personal yelled at a member of Hizbuttahrir "we don't want Khilafah; we want a modern democratic state".

The latest confrontations come after members of the Islamic group raised banners in the heart of Sana's liberation Square which read "Now is the time for Khilafah so work for it." The banners which can be clearly seen in the liberation square of Sana'a were brought down numerous times by members of the Islah Party, however, members of the Hizb managed to raise it back.

Hizb-ut-tahrir has stepped up its work and has managed to establish a firm presence in the heart of the "Freedom Square" in Sanaa. In addition to passing out leaflets, the group is actively going from tent to tent, calling on Yemenis to answer the call of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and his Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم by working for Khilafah.

Bravo my dear brothers members of the HT, the confrontation you are facing is a clear evidence in shaalla that you will be among the brothers of the ProPhet SAW who admired to meet them. For those shallow minded Muslims i would like to remind them that Khilafah will not harm them., so why fighting against it?
