David Cameron warns of ‘generational struggle’ against Islam

News:

BBC NEWS 3rd October 2014 – David Cameron has warned British troops in Afghanistan that they face the “struggle of our generation” against Islamic extremists around the world.

The prime minister told troops at Camp Bastion their work would continue elsewhere in the world, but said “maybe not in the same way” as in Afghanistan.

Mr Cameron said the actions of groups like Islamic State (IS) in Iraq and Syria and Boko Haram in Nigeria showed there remains a long battle ahead.

“I am afraid the work that you are doing here will go on in other parts of the world, maybe not in the same way, maybe not with troops on the ground,” he said.

“It is about protecting ourselves in our streets, in our homes, in our towns.

“These people have declared war upon us and we must make sure, as Britain always does in our history, that we respond with robustness and resolution,” he added.

His visit to Afghanistan comes after he visited RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus, from where RAF Tornados are launching air strikes against IS militants in Iraq.

Two more RAF Tornado jets are being deployed, joining the six already based in Cyprus.

The planes have carried out air strikes on four of their missions so far, hitting eight targets at five locations.

The UK is one of the largest financial donors to the Afghan government.

Comment:

In his recent speech at the United Nations, David Cameron spelt out a chilling new ideological war, against Islam. In his recent visit to Camp Bastion in Afghanistan, he reiterated the new war against Islam, but in a different form. Despite the smiles to the Islamic world, the West hasn’t changed it’s hatred toward Islam or the Ummah, merely its approach.

What is the real motive for the West to attack Da’ish? Is it out of a sense of humanity or justice?

If it were, why aren’t they also attacking the Assad regime? It is clear that regime hasn’t ceased the massacre and torture of the Muslims of Syria since the first day they started killing.

There is a mountain of evidence of their animal brutality and cruelty. With war crimes including poison gassing, torture and massacre of innocent civilians including women and children.

Perhaps the blood of Muslim children, aren’t as precious as that of the ‘ethnic minorities’ of Iraq? Or as important as the oil fields of northern and southern Iraq?

While Da’ish was focused on spilling the blood of Muslims, the murderous Assad regime and the West were happy to let them be. Only once when they began to threaten the oil and stability of Iraq, did the West reluctantly start to take ‘targeted’ action.

It should be clear to the Islamic Ummah and the world, the West isn’t whole-heartedly fighting Da’ish, nor are they doing this out of a sense of humanity, moral good or justice, and certainly not out of a love for Islam or the Muslims.

The West nurtures their own agenda and self-interests which are permanent and they hasten to protect.

Just as there can be no enlightenment from darkness, there can be no tranquility from the fire of the enemies of Islam. The only salvation for the Islamic Ummah is for the Believers to fear Allah سبحانه وتعالى and harken to His Command to unite:

وَاعْتَصِمُواْ بِحَبْلِ اللّهِ جَمِيعًا وَلاَ تَفَرَّقُواْ

“And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided.”
