With the entire country gripped by a desire for revolution, on 29th July 2014, the Prime Minister declared that revolution can only come through democracy. As for the opposition parties, in the build up to Pakistan’s Independence Day, August 14, they have made clear that they are competing for the same throne, in the same system, with the same claim. However, both sides will fail to bring any change because the entire system is corrupt, not merely its electoral process.
The current system is corrupt to its core because it ensures that all laws are made according to the whims and desires of men, rather than in accordance to the commands and prohibitions of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم. The current system is merely a continuation of the British Raj occupation that abolished Islamic rule and replaced it with a corrupt system of man-made laws, designed to serve only the men who make the laws. Today, laws are made according to the whims and desires of either a democrat and his assemblies or a dictator and his cronies. It is this corrupt system that allows foreign powers and their local agents to make laws in our country to serve their interests, exploiting our immense resources and plunging us into growing poverty, insecurity and humiliation. This corrupt system is why before the last elections in 2013, the US ambassador was able to say with absolute confidence that democracy is America’s horse in Pakistan!
Long marches, revolutions of every color and hue, electoral reforms, new elections and new coups will only prolong our agony, as long as they are used to keep this corrupt system from collapsing, as it deserves to. And above all, Allah سبحانه وتعالى condemned ruling by other than all that He سبحانه وتعالى revealed. Allah سبحانه وتعالى says,
وَأَنِ احْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ وَاحْذَرْهُمْ أَنْ يَفْتِنُوكَ عَنْ بَعْضِ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ
“Judge between them by what Allah has sent down and do not follow their whims and desires. And beware of them lest they lure you away from some of what Allah has sent down to you.”
(Al-Maaida 5:49)
And why do the ruling party and opposition parties not reflect on the example of our beloved Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, whose Sunnah is a source of law and guidance for us? RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم firmly rejected all the invitations from the Kuffar to enter their man-made system of whims and desires. The Kuffar invited him to become a member of their parliament, Dar un-Nadhwa, and even its head. Yet, RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم firmly rejected to arbitrate within their system of Kufr, a “Taghoot”, which rules by other than all that Allah سبحانه وتعالى has revealed, just like its modern equivalents, democracy and dictatorship. Allah سبحانه وتعالى says,
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُمْ آَمَنُوا بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يَتَحَاكَمُوا إِلَى الطَّاغُوتِ وَقَدْ أُمِرُوا أَنْ يَكْفُرُوا بِهِ
“Do you not see those who claim that they have iman in what has been sent down to you and what was sent down before you, still desiring to turn to a satanic source (taghoot) for judgment in spite of being ordered to reject it? Shaytan wants to misguide them far away.”
(An-Nisaa, 4:60)
So will the ruling and opposition sides not take heed and stop competing for this throne of treachery, humiliation and disobedience of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم?
O Muslims of Pakistan!
Revolution and change will only occur when we abolish this man-made system and replace it by a system in which rulers only rule according to the commands and prohibition of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم. Such a state is called the Khilafah in our Deen. In the Khilafah, rulers do not make laws according to their whims and desires, rather they implement laws according to the Quran and Sunnah and thus the Khilafah prevents exploitation of the people by foreign colonialists and their local agents. Also in the Khilafah, the elected men and women of the Majlis-e-Ummah do not make laws either, but advise and account the rulers to make sure they rule by Islam. Moreover, the judiciary will remove any ruler, including the Khaleefah, who rules by other than Islam. Allah سبحانه وتعالى has revealed,
وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ وَلاَ مُؤْمِنَةٍ إِذَا قَضَى اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَمْرًا أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُمْ الْخِيَرَةُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِمْ وَمَنْ يَعْصِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلاَلاً مُبِينًا
“When Allah and His Messenger have decided something it is not for any man or woman of the believer to have a choice about it. Anyone who disobeys Allah and His Messenger is clearly misguided.”
(Al-Ahzab 33:36)
O Muslims of Pakistan!
Our only way for Liberation (تحرير) is ruling without compromise by Islam. We are a Muslim people who thrive under Islam and are ruined by man-made law. We ruled our region for over a thousand years by the light of Islam and its dignified Shariah law, from the time of the Khilafah e Rashida, such that these lands were a shining example to humankind. When the British invaded, occupied and abolished the Shariah rule, we were drowned in poverty and hardship, ravaged by famine and debt. We resisted the man-made system valiantly, whether it was the Jihad of 1857, the Khilafat movement or the movement to establish a state in the name of Islam, Pakistan. We strove and made huge sacrifices for the sake of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم, not counting our martyrs. It is this denial of man-made law, love for Islam and spirit of sacrifice that must return to us now, if we are ever to secure our Liberation (تحرير) from the man-made systems of democracy and dictatorship that afflict us today.
O Muslims of Pakistan!
Let us work from now with the Party of Liberation, Hizb ut-Tahrir, for the return of the Khilafah to Pakistan. Hizb ut-Tahrir is fully prepared for the return of Islam as a way of life, state and constitution. Hizb ut-Tahrir has prepared an entire Constitution for the Khilafah, of 191 articles in two substantial volumes, containing evidences for the articles from the Quran and the Sunnah. Hizb ut-Tahrir has a library of essential books for the establishment of Khilafah, covering subjects from the Islamic Belief, Islamic Personality to the Khilafah State Organizations and the Economic System in Islam. Hizb ut-Tahrir0 has prepared armies of capable politicians, men and women, who strive against the tyrants, fearing none but Allah سبحانه وتعالى. And it is led by the wise statesman and eminent jurist, Shaikh Ata Bin Khalil Abu Al-Rashta who looks after the Ummah’s affairs through a vast party that embraces the entire Muslim World, from Indonesia to Morocco.
And in particular we must ask our sons, brothers and fathers in the armed forces as to how they accept traitors in the military leadership to use their strength to support the corrupt man-made system, the anvil upon which our hopes and aspirations are smashed to smithereens? We must insist that they follow the example of the noble Ansar (ra), who gave the Nussrah for the practical, complete and immediate establishment of Islam, so that the Ummah can again rejoice in complete obedience of Allah سبحانه وتعالى. Allah سبحانه وتعالى said,
وَيَوْمَئِذٍ يَفْرَحُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ * بِنَصْرِ اللَّهِ يَنْصُرُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ * وَعْدَ اللَّهِ لَا يُخْلِفُ اللَّهُ وَعْدَهُ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
“On that day, the believers will rejoice in Allah’s help. He grants victory to whoever He wills. He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. That is Allah’s promise. Allah does not break His promise. But most people do not know it.”
(Ar-Rûm, 30:4-6)
