On July 23, 2014, DEGLAH news agency reported a false story fabricated from beginning to end and attributed to information about Hizb ut Tahrir made by an ex-member of ISIS, who did not want to disclose his name, under the title: “Daish’s Network Organization in Diyarbakir.” He mentioned that ISIS has opened meeting places and publishing houses in Diyarbakir on the behalf of Hizb ut Tahrir and used them to gain new members, and that thanks to these places and houses they were able to gain new members to its organization. The story also alleged that the adherents of the Abu Handalah Mosque, affiliated with Hizb ut Tahrir, in the city of Diyarbakir in Baglar also joined ISIS.
We, in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Turkey refute the news mentioned via the items listed below, and present to the public the following:
1. Hizb ut Tahrir is carrying out its Dawah work intellectually and politically in the sense of a party in Diyarbakir, as it is carried out in many Turkish cities. However, these meeting places and publishing houses mentioned in the news has nothing to do with Hizb ut Tahrir. There are no ideological or political relationships between Hizb ut Tahrir and the person mentioned Abi Handalah in the sense of a party. This is known clearly in the Islamic public opinion in Diyarbakir. Thus, it appears that the Deglah news agency has reported a false story which might carry a specific dirty intention.
2. Hizb ut Tahrir is an Islamic party that selects its works within an intellectual and political framework. Contrary to that, ISIS is an organization that adopts armed action. Hizb ut Tahrir does not adopt any armed action in Turkey nor in any other country. Therefore, the news broadcasted by Deglah news agency is nothing more than a false story and sheer slander… Hizb ut Tahrir works and will remain working in a political framework, exposing the plans of America, the Western Kuffar and Iran which supports the Baath regime in Syria, as such all the plans carried by the Kuffar against the Muslims… In addition, the Hizb continues to work diligently and persistently to establish the Khilafah al-Rashidah which will propagate goodness and justice to all corners of the globe, and overcome the colonial Kuffar especially America, the West and its agents… As such, the response that showed Hizb ut Tahrir’s position from ISIS’s declaration of the Khilafah state reveals clearly the difference between Hizb ut Tahrir’s goal and method and ISIS’s strategic process and goal.
3. Hizb ut Tahrir has worked since its establishment in 1953 to rebuild the state of Khilafah ar-Rashideh which absence agonize the depths of the Muslim Ummah. The Muslims are rebelling against the oppressive dictatorships and democracy in Muslim countries and are demanding the Islamic Khilafah, which is the system of governance in Islam. However, the United States of America and the infidel West are not saving any effort and are not missing any chance in order to distort the Khilafah, and the Muslims are looking for a cornerstone to resort to in order to get rid of the infidel West’s powerful influence and the treacherous agent-regimes. In such circumstances, the Ummah is gathering around Hizb ut Tahrir because it sees the Hizb working for Khilafah honestly and with sincerity and that the Hizb knows how a Khilafah Al-Rashidah should be, and that it’s not that claimed Khilafah… As the Hizb has solid knowledge about the composition of the Khilafah Al-Rashidah constituting from Islamic and political experience which exceed sixty years, and it’s known for its steadfastness on the Shariah rules without any waivers or compromises. The Hizb appreciates the Muslim Kurdish people who stood strong against the abolition of the Khilafah state on the hands of the Kuffar and their agents in Turkey, and today they are suffering from the dirty wars that broke out between the secular Turkish Republic and the PKK. And the Kurdish Muslim people today like other Muslims are groping for the true way that leads to the arbitration of the Shariah of Allah and for a life of safety and security under the shade of Islamic rulings.
The global and Turkish media have tried to distort the image of the Khilafah by exploiting the announcement of the claimed Caliphate by ISIS and its strategies, and the fake news that was mentioned by Deglah news agency carries the same goal to distort the Khilafah and Hizb ut Tahrir in the eyes of the Muslim Kurdish people, but the light of the truth cannot be masked with a sieve. When the time is right for the idea, even the strongest armies cannot stand in its face.
