Attacking fasting Muslims in the blessed month of Ramadhan is a display of the government's anti-Islamic stance
In a press release issued today the official spokeswoman of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Bangladesh Fahmida Farhana Khanam said yesterday's police attack on fasting Muslims outside the national mosque, arresting 30 Hizb ut-Tahrir members and activists and subsequently issuing a completely false statement regarding the incident reveals the government's fascist anti-Islamic stance.
The police attacked the Muslims while they were preparing to hold the Badr Victory rally organized by Hizb ut-Tahrir in Bangladesh without any justification and arrested 30 people. Later the police issued a statement accusing the Muslims of charging upon them with sticks. Fahmida Farhana Khanam said a cursory glance at TV footages and newspaper reports leaves room for no doubt that the police statement is completely false. The TV footages as well the pictures in nearly 20 newspapers clearly show that it was the police who were beating the Muslims with sticks and batons.
Fahmida Farhana Khanam strongly condemned the government action and demanded immediate release of those arrested. She further added that this horrendous action proves that the government is anti-Islamic and they hate to see Islam become victorious. It also proves that the government wishes to extinguish the light of Islam from the country at the behest of their imperialist masters. Fahmida Farhana Khanam called upon the Muslims to throw the agents of the imperialists in the dustbin of history and rush forward to re-establish the Khilafah.

Current strategy adopted by the shabaab involves conflict during ramadan. The public opinion has not shifted in favor of the concepts of hizb or to the hizb itself. Neither should the Hizb take the task to establish Khilafah in Bangladesh but should work with the objective of including Bangladesh as part of the Khilafah. Therefore, the strategy then changes from one of conflict openly visible on the streets to the one of intellectual training so that the public opinion is ready when the Khilafah comes. Otherwise what you are ending up with is people with very little knowledge of the concepts. Concentrate on ideas lnvolving nationalism, identity of a muslim, the muslim and societal impacts, political framework and the importance of arabic as a language to start ijtihaad. The best way is to give the tools and the direction to the people within a framework so that the next generations can have a stronger base to build from as they learn from their parents. Often the best strategies are a long term plans with efforts made to achieve that. However, its your call |

I was in that rally. I prayed my Juma Prayer in the national mashjid of Baitul Mukarram. After the prayer, when we were preparing to start the rally, police started to brutally beat the us with large sticks and started arresting the members of the rally. It is amazing to see how the Government has turned the police force as one of their party's fighting force or "Lathial Bahini" in bengali i should say. There are reporters of all print and electronic media and they saw what happened at that day. But most of those medias published their reports criticising us. They told that we went there with sticks and we tried to attack the police first and then the police started to beat us. But they all know very well what happend. Those sticks that the police recovered were not for fighting, those were for the banners and fastoons. And you can't really fight with those sticks any way. Those are for the banners to hold. Anyways, Allah is watching us. And He is watching them too. And Allah is the best Judge. |
