April 25 Russian Mass Media reported the next sentence against the Muslims from Hizb ut-Tahrir. The sentences were imposed in Sibay that is south of Bashkiriya.

The media also quoted the court’s opinion in respect of the offense: “Hhabirov, being an active member of the organization “Hizb ut Tahrir”, that is banned in Russia, its inhabitant was involved in activities of the Sibay branch. The accused men regularly held secret assemblies and studies in the rented flat for studying the works of the terrorist organization aiming to spread extremist views, ideas and program reactions”.

Based on these claims, the court sentenced Abdurashid Hhabirov born in 1978 was charged on Part 1 Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of Russian Federation to 2 years of imprisonment. Four other Muslims were sentenced to fines from 100 up to 150 thousands of rubles.

In other words, the “crime” of the Muslims was in the fact that they met for studying their religion and discussing the way of calling to its truth. The accusation against the Muslims from Hizb ut Tahrir in extremism and even in terrorism is just based on such reasoning.

This criminal case started in 2012 and because of this, the Muslims were charged on so-called “anti-extremism” criminal case of not serious nature. However, since November 2013 the same components of the “crime” are qualified as anti-terrorist Article (205.5) of the Criminal Code, which provides up to 20 years of imprisonment! Despite the fact that they sentenced no one on Article 205.5, the State Duma has approved a bill under which the sanction of this Article calls for life imprisonment.

The only reason for tougher sanctions towards Hizb ut Tahrir is the growing anti-Islamic policy of the authorities. The legal ground of persecution was that in 2003 the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation included Hizb ut Tahrir unreasonably on the list of terror organizations. For this reason, Russia became the only country in the world that considers the Islamic political party Hizb ut Tahrir as a terror organization. Rather than accept the decision of the Supreme Court as criminal and remove Hizb ut Tahrir from this list, they have criminalized not the fact of a terror itself but belonging to the party, that was recognized as terror. Thus, the authorities have seriously intensified the struggle with Hizb ut Tahrir lasting for more than a decade.

The years of persecution towards the Islamic call carriers can be seen in the fate of the convicted Abdurashid Hhabirov. He is among the glorious sons of the Islamic Ummah who explained the words of the truth despite authorities’ counteractions. The first time he was sentenced in 2007 for his call to Islam and for being a member of Hizb ut Tahrir he was sentenced to one year of suspended imprisonment. But in 2008 he was arrested on new charges, and later sentenced to two years of imprisonment. Abdurashid spent those two years in a solitary cell.

After his release, Abdurashid continued to call sincerely to Islam along with Hizb ut Tahrir and for this reason became a defendant in another criminal case. In 2012 he was again arrested, but after some months of imprisonment was released due to the entry of certain amendments to the Criminal Code of RF. Again, he was sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment, being a defendant in another criminal case! The activity and firmness of such Muslims as Abdurashid made the Quraysh of the 21 century toughen some laws to the extent that any dawah carrier must be imprisoned to decades.

Looking at the life of Abdurashid, one can see the same struggle of a lie against the truth that was at the time of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and his noble companions. The Quraysh thought day and night how to stop the call to Islam and if at the beginning they slandered and discriminated so then the enemies of Allah سبحانه وتعالى applied physical actions as imprisonments, tortures and murders towards the followers of the Prophet of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم!

The Quraysh could not change the course of history in spite of all their power and influence in society, as Almighty Allah سبحانه وتعالى predetermines history. And today a lie is doomed to destruction, and the triumph of truth is only a matter of time.

Almighty Allah سبحانه وتعالى says:

وَقُلْ جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ إِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا

“Say: The truth has come, and falsehood has vanished. Indeed falsehood is bound to vanish”

(17: 81)
